OP were you able to figure you if they would rub on our stock trucks or would they work? It seems no one else has the answer yet.

    Are floor mats a mod?
OP, I can tell you that you will need at least a small lift for the 275s. At full flex they will rub the lower control arms a bit. I have 3" lift, and my 265/70s run a tiny bit but only when at full flex. No big deal, just takes the paint off. As for mud flap rub, TAKE EM OFF! They will get torn off the 1st time you do any serious off roading anyway!

Powetrain issues are possible from the added stress on the tranny/motor trying to push a taller/wider/heavier than OEM tire size. I am just going off what a buddy of mine told me who worked for Toyota as a service writer for several years. I'm sure it's fine since a lot of guys run larger than stock tires on here without issue, I'm just being cautious for now as I don't want any possible warranty situations to come up. My 16 already had the steering rack replaced since the one from the factory was leaking from the damn boot. Maybe you can see my concern.

If that's true, even going with A/T's of the same size would void it as they are heavier.

I'm purely going off what a Toyota employee aka my friend told me. I or he may be wrong but since I have already had one fairly serious warranty issue with the truck from the get go I am gonna play it safe at least until the factory warranty is up.

Good plan. Right or Wrong, I'd do what made me feel comfortable about the new truck I just paid 40k for. :)

Has anyone else ran this size without any issues?

Hmm I was looking at installing this size with just 5100s up front to level. I was under the impression they would work with no rubbing?

I'm running 275/70 r17 Dynapro ATM RF10. They came highly recommended and I really didn't like the ride of duratracs although they looked a lot better. No rubbing on full lock but when I turn into ramped entrances I get a scrape of some type, very minor. I have DCSB SPORT and I removed the air damn.. Getting 5100's installed tomorrow to "level" the front which I imagine will alleviate the tiny rare rub

I do also have the TRD PRO 4Runner wheels if that makes any difference

Thanks for the help! Let me know if the 5100's fix it. I've been looking at a similar set up with the TRD PRO wheels as well. Have you noticed how much it rubs if you stuff the wheel? I don't want them to rub when I'm off road.

I saw a 16' SR5 at the dealer running 280/70/17's but it had a level kit, nothing done in the rear though.
