Just realized the 21st IS Saturday, was thinking it was a Friday for some reason lol. Count us in! I'll be on no sleep, have to be in to work Sunday night after 730pm. Red Bull should do the trick lol.
BTW, I won the Demello free bumper promotion and may have it on the truck by then, pretty excited to see it mounted!

I think I used one of you pics in my story, hope that's ok, also mentioned @Bluegrass Taco (not by name) as the excited recipient of my TRD skid. Team effort won this one lol

Good things (eventually) come to good people. Great to hear you got the bumper! The guest list for the 21st is @ 2-1/2 at the moment. Lots of Thanksgiving related reasons for not committing yet. May have a couple 4-Runners.

Sandy and me both want to go back to Black Mountain again before years end. Starting to look at weekends in early to mid December. Views would be incredible with leaves off trees.

I am officially in Richmond Kentucky now! So much better than Florida! Ready to go get the truck dirty!

After I find a damn job haha!

Also, anyone in or around the Richmond area that can point me towards someone who can weld on my sliders for a decent price?

Next trip to Black Mountain, you'll need to make that trip with us. You're closer than most, so it won't be a long trip for you. Good luck with the job search. If you were closer to Louisville, I could give you some help in that dept.

Still doing Blue Holler on the 21st? Was wondering about the camping if you checked out the sites. I'll have my 2yo son and need AC power for a tent heater.

The 21st is still a go. There wasn't much as far as a designated camping area. Just a big open area with an old barn in the middle. There was a couple camper trailers near the barn, but no one was there. It might be best to give 'em a call. Their website has a phone #.

I've been asking on other sites about a mid December run to Black Mountain. That MIGHT end up happening....possibly with quite a few vehicles.

I should be in attendance for the Blue Holler meet. For those on the fence about attending, the place is stock friendly if it's dry. If it's too wet stock dunflops could make things interesting.

Who is thinking about camping for the night?
Are they going to be open that weekend, with it being hunting season?

Good question on the hunting aspect. Didn't even think of that. We would like to camp. Do you remember if they have power available at the campsites?

There are no campsites. It's all big ass rolling fields from what I remember. Much less developed than AOP.

Ok, I'll see what I can come up with between now and then. May not camp if it's too cold, still planning on wheeling Saturday.

I've tried calling their number a few times, even visited once. Still haven't got to talk to anyone. Still trying.....

I've had the same experience. Called every number twice I could find on the website with no response.

Luckily I went after a bounty hill event and someone was still present on the grounds to talk to. A high schooler collecting money with zero information of the park to offer, he was able to sell me a "map".

You sure he was even part of "Blue Holler"? Years ago, me and a couple dirt bike buddies went to Troy Ohio for an AMA 125/250 outdoor National Motocross event. Parking was free, but the gate fee was kinda steep for us poor boys. So...We devised a plan. We took cloth nail aprons with us, along with orange safety vest's. Once we were in the parking lot, we donned the vest's and nail aprons, and started guiding cars in the lot and showing them where the "$5 special parking" was at. After each of us collected about $50 a piece, we put the vest's and nail aprons back in the car and bought our tickets and went in the race. Worked so well we did it 3 years running after that.

Yeah, I was a punk when I was younger.....I'll be the first to admit that.

Lol. I'm nearly certain he was legit. One of those campers you mentioned in the field is where they station their gate person out of; or so I think.

My wifey and I with our two year old son are confirmed for Saturday, not camping in the cold with him though. Haven't really been eyeing the weather, should be a good time either way.

OK....So far, I have a total of 3 CONFIRMED, and 3 more probable. Looks like rain mid week, then decent weather for Saturday. So far no one camping. Blue Holler is roughly 1-1/2 hours south of Louisville. If I was coming from Cincy, I'd take I-71 to Gene Snyder Freeway west (I-265) Take Snyder to I-65, then go south. We'll be picking up I 65 at Shepherdsville. (South of Louisville) Just west of the Shepherdsville/I-65 intersection, there is a Frisches Restaurant. We'll stop there for breakfast. Plan is to roll out of there around 8AM and head south. You can meet up with us there if you like. From there, take I 65 south to exit 71. (Bonnieville) Turn right and follow hwy 728 all the way to Blue Holler. 728 makes a few turns and switches from one road to another, but is marked well as 728.

On our list of probable, we have a couple stock trucks with stock tires, so you'll do just fine.

My wife is my spotter and co-pilot. She'll be there along with another husband/wife combo. We'll also be bringing our 10 year old grand son. A pretty low keyed, laid back bunch!

In one visit, I'm addicted to Black Mountain! Looking at Dec 5th or Dec 12th as date at the moment.

Well now. This could get interesting. I was watching TV at lunch time and saw a long range weather forecast that says we might get 2.5" to 4" of snow this weekend. Blue Holler might be WHITE Holler! Guess I'll watch the TV weather guessers tonight and see what they have to say.

Lows will struggle to reach freezing. Should be all rain. Sloppy mud wheeling though :censored:.

    I'm down for snow though...
