Update on my 4.7 TG in front of factory 2.57 electronic shift. First of all the 4.7:1 is so much better I don’t even use factory 4LO anymore. Compound low is insane! I installed this set up in December and everything works great besides 1 gremlin when the TG case is in low range it inconsistently grinds going into park. I’ve drained the gear oil twice and no metal on the magnets or in the oil. I’ve checked all clearances on shifter. I called TG and they said they have no idea but I could send it back. It does not grind in any other gear combinations. I’ll probably just run it this season and use neutral to go into park in low range. I have some upgrades planned for this winter anyway. This mod is definitely worth the trouble and really not that difficult besides the shifter location on the 3rd gen automatic. Has anyone else had this issue?

This, when I was first being taught about how to use the crawl box I was told to come to a stop by putting it in neutral to take the stress out of it.

Don’t shift super fast from drive to park. Put it in neutral. Let everything unload then shift. Only takes a half a second. Listen to a jeep in low going from drive to park. Sounds the same if they slam it super quick. Have to let everything unload.

Found the first piece of my puzzle. Got lucky and found it at a junkyard here in central Indiana, they didn't even have the whole truck just the case up on a shelf. I've been reading thru this thread now and I've noticed most people put the crawl box in front of a j shift case. Has anyone used the factory ADD case in the rear? I've already done the 2lo mod so I'd like to keep the ADD and have both cases have just h-n-l and a button for 4wd.

Essentially what’s in mine. Automatic transmission fluid keeps leaking into mine because of a bad seal and venting out. Makes a mess anytime I drive on the highway after wheeling

If it's not leaking, you're not using it the right way
