I suggest you give them a call. Ask for Kyle. He told me the other day that they were migrating to a new email system so that could be part of it.

Every time I called them they picked up right up and were great to talk to. When I emailed them it took about a day at most to get back. I'd have to guess that the new email system is to blame.

Did the trail gear adaptor today and they gave me 10mm dowels. The initial 2 mm of the hole was drilled to 9.5 mm and the rest was 9mm. Had to shave them down to match the bevel diameter. If it wasn't half the price of the marlin you can't even get I would be a little upset. Otherwise looks like a good product visually.

What your looking for is a Reg Cab, Auto, Bench seat, 4wd. They were they only ones to have this console. With a cup holder at the end of it. But it can be modified a little to match up with the rear console.

This is the part number I used -58802-04060-B0 Plastic color was Moon/Lunar Mist aka blue. But repainted to match the interior. I think @02hilux followed and did the same.

Good luck trying to find 58802-04060-B0. Took well over a year of constantly looking at the local yota yard and Ebay to find one. It's litterily like trying to find a needle in a barn and when I finally found one, I think paid more for it used than what it cost new from Toyota.

x2 forgot to mention that part. Extremely hard to find, if you do find one, any color grab it ebay/junk yard/etc. I got beyond lucky and found a brand new one from a PA dealer. The bagged plastic had turned yellow, Toyota labels/stickers flaking and peeling off. It was definitely sitting on a shelf forgotten about since 2000.

Yep. TBH, I don't use the cup holder. It's one of those thing I kinda want for a piece of mind in case in do need it. Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it type of thing. I didn't care too much about cutting the factory dual cup holder on the arm rest piece on my 02 to fit the triple stick as well.

The look on people's face when they see 4+1 stick is priceless :anonymous:

Got the case done. Other than the dowels and the repress, a lot easier than I thought. Got a crossmember that Im on the fence about but will try and see what happens since the rear case is apart. IMG_2990.HEIC.jpg IMG_2991.HEIC.jpg IMG_2992.HEIC.jpg IMG_2993.HEIC.jpg

I’d not use that crossover. Known to cause leaks and cracks.

Leaks cause people are trying to install without fresh silicone on the truck or regardless? I am gonna try it since I already paid for it. If it cracks the case ill swap it out for something else... I saw Brian at 4wu using them so I figured it was a decent design. Otherwise I would not have bought it.

its a mount on the case cover so was never really intended to support any type of shear loading generated by the drivetrain. Perhaps the use of a proper bushing could help deflect some of that, but I would not use it. There’s a reason the older transfer cases have the mount on the bottom which are cast into the housing and use larger hardware.

The crack on the fror crossmember you're referring to is for the gear case with 7 mounting holes. I haven't heard of any failure for the vf case. Have mine on for several years now and no issue.

Damn, that thing was like 300-400. Ill either return or cut the outside mount setup off and use it with some nice dom and a plate mount which is what I wanted to do anyway.

hmm, maybe that is true, the chain cases are a lot larger so maybe less force exerted on each individual bolt. I would still just put a standard gear drive mount here and call it a day.

    @Yota X

If you 3 link, no other crossmember will work unless you can fab it yourself. Or buy the tg for 400+ and modify it, which is not worth it when you can fab it for less.

I don't like the trail gear one. Too bulky. Ill use this one. If you have been using it thats good for me. 4wu link kit won't be here for 12 more weeks so doing all the case, trans swap, rear shaft and rear end first so its done. Got the 14 bolt today.

Nice. Agree with your statement on the TG crossmember. Many like it, many others hate it as well. It's life. I did built a small 1/4" thick plate skid for the dual and mount it with the existing rf1a mounting.

The hardest part is trying to wrap a custom crossmember fab mount around the upper link mount. I will eventually built a custom 3/8" skid to protect the belly (or so that's what I'd been saying for the last 6 years or so). But so far, even with the IFS setup and gnarly obstacles I'd taken this tacoma on, I haven't hit the drivetrain. But with 40, maybe I'll be more careless?
