    Better than a solid axle swap I’d say...I hated wheeling my 5-speed after coming from an auto

    Agreed. After I drove @6 gearT444E truck up a 45° angle with my thumb on the wheel in compound low I knew I’d have to do the mod. Took several years but I did it. :D

    Significantly less lol. TG makes it easy with complete boxes or both adapters in a package. Plus a dual case crossmember that’s ready to weld in. Basically the only thing to sort out is where you want your shifter hole and where you will get your driveshafts done

    Dave’s Drive shop is in Nashville. He’s about $125 to extend front and you’d have to figure what to do with the rear. You can try and shorten the factory two piece rear or go for a new one piece. He'll use as much of the factory stuff as he can.

    I’m in SoCal and went with a one piece and things are great. No vibration issues. Not sure how much varriance there’d be with all the different boxes and adaptors, but whichever you choose I’m sure one of us here with the same setup could measure ours out for you to have an idea of length.
