I really hope that I'm wrong but my guess is that it'll be a loooooong time before anyone receives a dual cases for a 5spd....I tried to purchase one on two different occasions over the past 4 years and was defeated by the dreaded supply chain issues both times :laser::frusty: The first time i hung in for a year after a 100% deposit left my bank account but to no avail, I was defeated. :tumbleweed:

In the end a dreamy bright red MC dual case was not in my future so I went with a pre-built TG case and I had it in my lap about a week after purchase thru Low Range. Just about the coolest and most trans-formative mod you can do to a Taco and I couldn't be happier after 6 months.....Going so slow has never been so fun. :turtleride:

Still have a lot of work to do on the truck but I got the crawlbox functional.

Turns out I didn't grind the rail enough when I modded them for the twin sticks so the shifter couldn't push the rail all the way in. Hit it with a bur motor and tried to keep as much of the shavings out of the case as possible. I'll change the fluid after the first test drive to help clear anything I missed out. There was 0% chance of me opening the case up again.

Don’t blame you at all. Glad you were able to find the problem. A little bit of shavings aren’t going to hurt anything on a test drive since a tcase is way less sensitive to debris than an engine with oil galleries and such.

Marlin would have one hell of a business if they could just figure out this supply chain problem. Which, honestly after all these years, they should have. If I'd have that many issues I would have brought all manufacturing in house.

Hell I ordered a crawlbox through RST a few years ago. Wyatt instantly refunded my money saying he had no idea when the order would be filled and he wasn't gonna take my money and wait. Ended up with an Inchworm in hand a week later.

So I have some noob questions before I get my crawl box in the mail.

Just FYI I have a 1st gen 3.4L j shift with 5 speed manual tranny.

Can you clock the tcase in various positions? I'm guessing this has the double effect of a) changing how much it hangs down and b) dictating where your shifter will end up?

Wondering if there's any good pic threads of different shifter configs for the 5 speed. I'm assuming the crawl box shifter goes where the original j shift goes and then the j shift goes wherever you clock the t case? Ideally I would like to stuff all the shifters in the same area as the stock location but not sure if possible. I've seen a 1st gen triple stick config like this on marlins website. Tacoma all seems to all be pics of the shifter in the cup holder which is doable but wondering what other possible configs there are.

    Pics I'm talking about
    upload_2019-3-29_22-36-24.jpg

This pic is supposedly a 1st gen taco but it's triple sticks
    upload_2019-3-29_22-38-42.jpg

Ideally looking for a config where I can still use my bud built belly pan and also look clean on the interior. Maybe asking too much?

Here's a pic of the BB bellypan (not mine). As you can see goes pretty far back and just barely clears t case in stock config with little to no room to spare (I just checked).
    upload_2019-3-29_22-40-23.jpg

I can't even get my finger under the tcase. Guess I may need to drop the belly pan a bit no matter what?
