What did y'all do with the three plugs that go into the t case? Just crimp some more wire on or are there extension adapter thingies online somewhere

Besides that, its in! Waiting on driveshafts

 

I think everyone just crimps/solders more wire to extend the wires.

 

Lame, I hate wiring, even if its easy stuff anyone know what gauge it is off hand by chance? Don't have the truck rn so can't check

Sounds too good to be true. Might just be the crawlbox minus the rear adapter. I looked back when I ordered mine in 2012 and I paid $1995 for mine with the total spline setup and 4.7 marlin extreme gears.

 

I’ll believe it when it’s paid for and my truck is 100-year-old tortoise slow. But they’ve got their 2.28 crawl boxes listed for $499 and I was quoted “around $1200” to get the deed done. I will likely spring for the 4.7 gears which will push the price only higher, but that’s what I was told.

Yeah you're going to need a few more parts than that. That box is for bolting a gear driven case to another gear driven case. The rear adapter won't work for the VF2AM case, and it doesn't include the front adapter to bolt to the RA60F, so you're looking at about double that cost. You can build what he's selling there for about $150 with a junkyard t-case from an older toyota.

 

Hence the “about $1200” over-the-phone quote

Last we spoke they were hunting down parts for the RA60F and an FJ case.

 

My inchworm was the same cost.

I’d never give Davez off road a single penny of business. Horrible communication and customer service.

Gotcha, thought you meant that was the link for the one for our trucks. $1200 would be a damn good price if that's the case, I may buy another and stick it on the spare parts shelf lol

 

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not holding my breath for that deal, that’s just what I have to go off of from our most recent conversation. I have more eggs in the Marlin basket than Davez.
