So finally took the runner out for a spin and everything seems to work! However, the VSC and TRAC lights are on with the CPU disconnected. Below is a pic of mine, any ideas on what wiring weds to be done to get the dash lights off? I haven’t cut the harnesses that went to the tcase or the ADD yet, so if reconnecting the module and jumping wires at the ADD or tcase end would be easiest, that would be simple instead of working under the dash.

Have you tried to reset the VSC computer?
Mine will come on sometimes after a trail run.

Yeah, I have disconnected the battery a few times. If I leave the CPU plugged in (tcase and ADD not attached) 4lo/hi blink rapidly. Im thinking I just need to connect a few wires on the tcase and add to trick it to think they are still connected.

    I found this post: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tacoma-add-delete-wiring-figured-out.464595/

with this diagram and pin out:

The ADD has 6 wires that control the action as well as engagement/disengagement confirmations. Your wires may differ in color but this is what i had on my 2008. This is how my wires came in the ADD connector.

1 - Red - Power for ADD motor
    2 - Black/white stripe - Ground for ADD motor
    3 - Green/black stripe - ADD engagement confirmation
    4 - White/black stripe - ground for confirmation wires
5 - Pink/blue stripe - (I believe this is power cut for ADD motor)
    6 - Green - ADD disengaged confirmation

    In 2wd, 4 connecting to 6.

So, I think on the ADD end connecting 4 and 6 should take care of the ADD, just need to figure out the tcase end.

Here is the diagram for my 4R, if anyone has any input it would be appreciated, I am pretty good at wiring, just not reading/comprehending wiring diagrams lol.

    Again! Jeeze.

I plugged the ADD back in and seemed to make no difference so must be on the Tcase side of things.

So reread, I do have everything disconnected and still get the VSC TRAC lights, IDK, maybe has to do with the center diff?

I have an ODB, but it just does engine codes I think, I don't seem to remember it picking up ABS/VSC codes. I'll check.

Techstream does all the codes and it’s nice to figure things out. Abs/vsc/trac is real useful with techstream

Electrical? If your referring to my issue, that’s a Toyota problem in my book. I just want all that crap to stop working.

who cares if the lights are on. You know it's working already. That's just me.

Getting these mod (crawlbox, atlas, solid axle, etc) done will have one problem or another.

For sure, just trying to take care of the small stuff along the way if it can be done reasonably.
