It’s passenger drop just pre Tacoma cases. Unless you build a lefty which is stupid expensive and atlas territory money wise I don’t think there’s a way to get 4.7 gears in the rear case.

You got what many consider a dual case setup also: 4.7x2.57
It's just preferred (stronger as many will say. Why, IDC) 2.28x4.7

Many prefer the crawl gear (4.7) to be in behind the factory gear (2.28) but in the tacoma standard, it's not an option.

Just like anything else, stuff will break if you use the "send it" method

common config is 2.28 (or 2.57 in yours and my case) paired with 4.7. Nobody really does 4.7's in both cause that's too much low range. Not really usable at that point imo.

And only way you'd be able to do that is if you have both gear drive cases.

My two cents is that personally I would not go with double 4.7s. I want options, and while I'm limited with only having the option to use the 2.5 in the chain drive FJ case and elected for the 4.7 gear ratio in the gear driven crawlbox, it still gives me those options. I can go slow, (just the FJ case), really slow (just the crawlbox), or REALLY REALLY slow with both. I just don't see a reason to go double 4.7s. I can already idle up shit in double low with the crawlbox in 4.7 and FJ case in 2.5 without stalling. I like having the option of the 2.5s in the FJ case for fire roads and the option of just 4.7s on slightly more technical shit where the FJ case just isn't slow enough. just 4.7 is just the tits for most stuff on a manual in my opinion, and in 5th gear or 6th gear you can still cruise fire roads.

But that's just like...my opinion, man.

Not even that, it’s a radius arm setup. Complete wast of time doing a swap if you’re just going to do radius arms.
