A 250 with a fly wheel weight would be about the same as a 200 with more low end, right?

    NO... lol

They still absolutely rip. My old KX would rape my brother's 2010 YZ450f no problem even with the weight.

Quite a large difference between a 200 and a 250. You're just going to have to try one sometime.

I've been racing since I was four grown up on Yamaha switched to KTM and it was a mistake, they are fantastic bikes motor wise but handling isn't up to spec with the other four big names Honda Kawi Suzuki and Yamaha. I now ride a Suzuki rm250 2 stroke and its flawless! If you can get your hands on a good two stroke buy it in my option bc four strokes are good if you have lots of money to spend on parts and valve adjustments. If your on a budget 2stroke all the way but if your rich like the pros go get a 4stroke braap!

Except if you live in CA where you can only ride it a few months out of the year.

This is kinda true. Depending on where you go , you can go to the track year round. Most ohv places are seasonal. But there are quite a few that you can ride year round and never see a ranger

I grew up on 2 strokes. But after owning 5 4strokes I don't think I could go back

The defining factor seems to be proximity to large cities. If you're up near Arnold, no one really cares. But Metcalf, Hollister, Carnegie and maybe Cow Mountain, it's a seasonal closure.

What's so retarded is 408MX and Metcalf are in the same county and you can ride all year at one but not the other. The difference being 408 is a private facility (and located in the city (not far from downtown either).

Buying a 2011 KX 450 today and need to go pick it up. Will i be able to cram it in my "03" double cab tacoma short bed? I didnt see anything posted about this? If anyone has done it, please let me know. I imagine with the tail gate down and a 2"X10" underneeth the bike, i will be able to pull it off?

    Yes.

You don't necessarily need to put a 2x10 under the bike. Just run a strap over the rear wheel and attach it to the d-rings. Or not. As long as the front end is secure, the back might bounce a little.
