hell me and fun runner went down trail i have not been down in a truck. i don’t think a raptor would have made a few of the turns. on one i had to go out as wide as i could and i was still kinda cutting the rear kinda close.

That's my point. It's not about engine power, or even really about grip, if you simply don't fit around the turns.

ya his rig is sick! BUT like cory and me said, some trails around here you can’t hardly fit stock width taco’s down. no way a well built LT would fit down some trails! alot of the trails at places around here are ATV only or jeep trails. and some of the atv only you can fit jeeps down, it’s pretty tight but i have seen it done.(atv only trails here are not limited to 50” like some places. they are just really really tight for jeeps so they list them as atv only. but that still means dirt bikes and utv’s can go down them.

That's one thing i like about mine for trails, it's narrower and shorter than 2nd gens.

^^ yeah but it’s not much shorter than mine. What i noticed about the fun runners 4 runner is the the bumper/cab behind the rear wheels i think is shorter than my bed and bumper.

U went way off subject mentioning a raptor. They are not made nor intended to be used on trails. The "raptor" part of them is made for prerunning. Also, have u ever actually looked at a raptor? It's a luxury truck, like top of the line luxury truck. Not only do u pay for the performance and exterior look of one but u also pay for the luxurious interior of one. It's pretty much the most baller truck out there and what's why people buy them. Bad comparison Cory. Haha

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
And I didn't think raptors could jump anyway. Just able to go a bit faster on the rough surfaces.

I wouldn't talk nearly so much smack about them. Front LSD, rear locker, 35's stock, and really upgraded suspension. I wouldn't buy one and take it offroad given the price, but they're capable trucks aside from their size.

My raptor comparison was compared to an lt kit, not to a trail truck. Raptors are designed to be high speed desert trucks, but people buy them around here. And yeah, I know it's luxury, blah blah blah. It's just an overly expensive, less capable truck. Less towing capacity than a 2nd gen taco, less payload. That would be like decking out an lt taco for a grocery getter.

Less towing capacity? I don't love overpriced trucks, but you guys are delusional. It can tow 8000 lbs depending on the version, but even if you find an edition with the same tow capacity as a tacoma, it's 6.2L will do it a hell of a lot better than a 4L v6.

I'd rather buy a tacoma and build it up, it'll be more capable for sure, but that doesn't make the raptor a total pile.

I know it's not a total pile, but from a doing truck work perspective. Look it up, I am pretty dang sure that the towing capacity of the raptor is 6000. That's only because its got all the suspension stuff and whatever.

It is 6k with some versions, the supercrew gets 8k. *shrug* I'd take a raptor right now and drive it happily, out towing a second gen with ease.

Yeah, but if I were to buy an f-150 right now, I would get, say, an fx4 and go with it. Not to say I wouldn't mind the raptor...it's a sweet truck for sure. Just not hugely practical.

This is such a dumb ass comparison in general. Yes, I think a raptor is overpriced as well but I also think a Tacoma is overpriced. Plus its only overpriced if YOU think it is. Do yall think an Enzo Ferrari is overpriced? It's only 1.4 million dollars. No matter what you think, it only matters to the people willing to pay the money for it. You can complain about how raptors are overpriced for what they are but is that really the case? Compare them to a crew cab, fully loaded, top of the line f-150. Look at all the features that come on one then compare pricing and then decide if they are still overpriced. A raptor and a Tacoma aren't even in the same class rating for vehicles. A raptor should have a bigger motor, bigger body, bigger interior, larger tires, more towing capacity, etc ..... because its in a bigger class then a Tacoma. Once again, this is a terrible comparison
