No luck on the tire yet Gid all the shops say they don't normally get something that big. Just normal size tires around here.

Thanks. The axle setup has worked well so far and I don't worry about much breaking with 35s. The 8.8 has a bent shaft at the moment but I have an alloy replacement waiting to go in. The 44 has chromo shafts so it's held up well so far. Crossing my fingers it stays that way!

 

Does your shaft squeal like a stuck hog?? I think my 35 has a bent shaft and it squeaks like crazy. And the 8.8 is C-clip as well, ain't it? I've got a spare 30 and 35 that I might bring with me in case I need parts.

 

Yeah its c clip. It doesn't squeak at all but is pretty obvious when you watch it roll down the road. I bent a few shafts in my stock rear axle and the would squeak, I just assumed it was the rotor rubbing against the caliper. Weak link in the front is the hubs but I carry a few extra of those.

oh btw any one know exactly how to change power steering rack on a 1st gen tundra? dads needs leaking, also needs new valve cover gaskets.

dealer wants $500+ tax for the valve cover gaskets, and $1150 for to fix the power steering rack leak. some part has to be ordered for that as well.

going to at least do the valve cover gaskets my self. and am going to look at trying to fix the leak on the power steering rack.

 

Pulleys are on, ac is fixed! And my bushing for my shock should be in tomorrow or Thursday

 

A mod or through a pm? I dont see anything about that in here. We try to be polite to new comers, some guys just use sarcasm. Its just not everyday you see a hummer on a tacoma forum with the owner not having a taco also.

 

Oh come on! It's only 1 jeep, possibly 2 going. I might break, but I'll find a way to fix it so I can keep riding. Is anyone bringing tools? And my jeep is full at the moment with 2 of my buddies and my girlfriend.
