I was told my 2016 ORLB was not before vin number listed by the Toyota corporate guy , but if the dealer says if the problem is there , they will ask Toyota to pay for the fix .

Got my AC back yesterday. The dealership replaced leaf springs, added steering wheel dampener, and turn one rotor that was out of spec. Vibration is completely gone in my case. Good luck guys.

Not gone... just hidden... Ordering a ECGS bushing right now.

Edit: actually went in to my dealer for the rev1 ecm recalibration, as well as tightening up the tonneau, and fixing my stereo that shuts off randomly on long trips... Asked them about the ecgs bushing and they're installing it on Wednesday for 300. The bushing is 60 and the tool to remove the needle bearing is like 80 or something, so 160 more for them to just get it done is totally worth it imo. They even had extras in the shop because Rogers Toyota here, makes RMX versions of their toyotas and the tech said they've just started installing the bushing before they even go on the lot

Generally speaking, at least for me its a cyclical vibration you feel in the steering wheel and in the gas pedal. Mine does it when slowing down around 15-25 mph range is when it starts. Also... if you throw the truck into 4wd, the vibration stops as its under load at that point.

From what ive read, its for both. It generally starts for trucks with lifts earlier on. As i said, earlier up, the TSB hides the vibration, doesnt get rid of it. This is an actual fix. I had the exact same driveline vibe on my 2012, and had the same bushing put in that one as well. When i bought my 2016 i was told those vibes were gone, but obviously not the case, as they're still using the same damn needle bearing.

Thats what I was thinking with the TSB as I have this vibration in the Steering wheel but @ low 1200-1600 RPM's and Toyota has been the the biggest pain the ass about this issue....

I had my 16 ORCC in and they did the TSB. Improved the issue significantly but it is still there.

The only vibration I'm feeling is when braking a little hard sometimes. It feels like brake boosters or somethin. Are you guys talking about a different vibration?

Yea the brake booster feels more like a cell phone vibrating the pedal right?

This feels like you are hitting those rumble strips on the highway that indicate a stop is coming up.

If the antilock braking system (abs) is activating you will feel a pulsing motion in the brake pedal. Just sold my 1999 4runner and am looking at a new 2017 Tacoma TRD Off Road with automatic transmission. I am new to this site and after reading this thread ready to forget about a purchase until Toyota releases a statement explaining the solution to the problem or problems and what vin are no longer defective. Obviously some 2017 models including the off road are still affected. Vibrations can be cured but if left unattended will result in a failure.

How are you guys with Off-roads getting this done? Just called corporate again and they flat out denied me even though my VIN falls in range.

Anyone know how much this would cost if I just paid out of pocket for it? I give up

Did Toyota simply say that you have an OR so you are not eligible or did they give further reasons?
