    Copy the first 8 and paste it on the TSB thought it applied, but if you scroll down;
 Reference the table below for 2016 model year Tacoma vehicles produced BEFORE the vins

so my '17 built in october doesn't apply

I guess i'll have my parts manager order me in the new leafs and i'll see what the difference is , hopefully on friday. I do have a very minor vibration when braking. i was chatting with my manager about it and he said we should just do it for the hell of it.

I want to make sure I'm reading this right...

Reference the table below for 2016 model year Tacoma vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs.
CAB TYPE PRODUCTION CHANGE EFFECTIVE VIN
    Double - 3TMCZ5AN#GM039538

Does that mean if MY last 4 vin digits are less than 9538, I need the repair?

Seems to be some conflicting information unless they're just giving those numbers for OR models as an FYI...

I'm confused as to whether or not the TRDOR is actually applicable. It says the TSB applies to ALL 2016 NOT Off-Road Tacomas. However, then it goes on to give model information and specify angles and part numbers for off road models.

Perhaps we're reading it wrong and saying it applies to all non off-road 2016 models isn't meant to exclude the off-roads, just saying that perhaps the off-roads got a fix before the end of 2016 production whereas the other models didn't, so they are all effected while some off-roads are not.

I think the text is pretty clear.

    This applies if:
    - you have a 2016
    - it is not the Off Road model
    - VIN lower than the table that shows a production change

So, one would assume anything newer that what's in the table for VINs already has the updated rear suspension and the new steering dampener. The same for the Off Road models, you probably already have it. Or they assume those with Off Road models are more manly by nature, and are not bothered by driveline vibrations (that this TSB clarifies ALL vehicles have.) LOL.

+1. I had to drive to CA just to get the trans update! The manager at Dave Wilson Toyota straight told me they wont do it because it takes too much time and pays nothing. Same thing in henderson, and I refuse to use the autonation dealer. Let me know if you find a good dealer or SA

I have an off road and I have never felt this vibration.

I believe the Off Road has a different leaf pack than all the other 2016 models.

Z50king , I also have a DCLB OR . I do have a slight rumbling during braking from 30mph down to stop . I have a cap/shell and Sumosprings and the rest is stock . My rearleafs are about flat. What do yours look like ? Do you feel any rumble ?

I don't have any vibrations at any speed. I only have the rear differential hum between 50 and 60.

My leafs are nearly flat. I don't often carry much weight for extended periods.

I also have the slight hum between 50 and 60 and it is very mild. The radio surely blocks it out . I was mainly wondering about the springs. to me this is nothing I am used to . I was taught when loading a truck that once they were flat , do not add more weight , and once reversed , look out as they will fail on the next good bump . I also do not carry weight often but it is a truck and should be ready to carry the weight it was advertised for without worry . It seems it is taxed just carrying a 200 ? lb . shell . Your thoughts ?

My springs came from the factory almost flat, so there is no real change. I will be lifting someday so I really don't care.

We are planning to get a small toy hauler so I will be sumo springing before that

My question in all of this is whether or not OR's, Sports, Limited, etc have a different VIN sequence as a unique identifier? For example, I have a TRD O/R and its VIN is 3TMCZ5AN1GM0_____. If this is a common string to different subsets of Tacoma's, I would say the TSB does not apply to us with OR's. If that is a unique set to OR's, then it would definitely apply to us or else they would not have included that in the TSB. For what it is worth, I have had this issue from day 1 of purchase and make sure that it is noted at every service. I have my 15,000 next week and will make note of it again and see what happens.

Ha! It was Mike from Dave Wilson who hung up on me! Autonation is junk, they told me they checked my tranny fluids and blatantly lied about it. Findlay isn't any better.

Just now seeing this.... I've experienced this at stock and with new suspension/wheels so just assumed it was how the truck rode....

I can't say why they excluded the TRDOR, but they did the exact same thing to mine as is described in the TSB, about 3 months ago. Apparently after a technical assistance contact told them to. It remedied it on my truck. I also let them know I was not going away....plus I have a dash video of them bad mouthing me which I leverage every time I go in to get what I want.

I have 16 TRD OR as well and feel this vibration under braking, and then again a big vibration through what feels like the driveline during heavy acceleration from a stop. Well this sucks....
