    I got sprung!

New leafs add a shim to angle the rear axle, which changes the driveline angle.

I'll update on the ride once I go home.

Any news on why this doesn't apply to the TRD OR?

Anyone know the angle of the shim? Instead of going thru the headache with the dealer I might get a shim and put it in myself.

Just like 10 years ago for horrible ride, toyota is now replacing non OR springs with OR springs.

Rides good. I swear it accelerates smoother too, and I just didn't really notice the slight jitteriness until it was gone.

Takes 2 hours. That's what they're going to tell you.
In reality it took me 35 minutes for the springs, pictures, and steering wheel damper. (Yes, I did this. not only am I an internet toyota tech, I'm one in real life too). But since I just put my 5100's on last Sunday..I also did an alignment. So it was 45 minutes.

Then I cleaned my interior and windows, because I have to pick up a lady this evening. So glad it doesn't ride like crap. haha

Update: I just got off the phone with Toyota corporate. I explained to them the issues I am having and asked them about the technical service bulletin. I gave them my VIN number and she said that my truck does qualify for the TSB. I have a 2016 TRD off-road

Sorry, didn't measure the angle of the shim. Also didn't get to do a before/after driveshaft angle measurement.

Ask them to adjust your blinkers. Mine is at 5 and it's perfect.

I have the OME Dakar spring pack so I know I'm ineligible but I'm also experiencing the shimming at 25 mph. I'd be interested in buying the steering dampener and a shim for the spring pack. This is the most annoying thing going on with the truck at the moment and would love to fix it.

The best way is to get an angle finder, and measure for yourself. Then you can make sure you get exactly what you need.

I had this done back in July or August on my OR and it fixed the issue 95%. I can only tell it's still there if I concentrate and look for it to happen.
