I have a 2017 TRD OR DCLB, when I brought it in for the 5K service I mentioned a little vibration when decelerating, without any hesitation they added the steering dampener and new leaf packs. I also mentioned that it was delayed shifting from R to D when cold and they did the rev1 update to the transmission and some update to the engine. So far my experience has been great.

I am. It kind of feels like excessive pinion "nose down" under braking. Any other opinions??

I've have taken my truck in several times and the tech will recognize there is a problem, however they will not do anything to fix it. Very frustrating. I have gone through corporate and am getting the same response. Anyone have any other ideas what I can try?

I just stumbled in here because my 2017 TRDOR with 1k miles on it has some odd vibes under low speed braking. It's a pulsation in the brake pedal that reminds me of warped rotors.

Seems to be more apparent if I'm heavier on the brakes.

I know there are a lot of electronics at work on these vehicles, particularly around the braking system, so I've sort of accepted that maybe it's normal.

But adding my input in here.. Maybe related?

exactly what mine felt like. they replaced both leaf packs and the steering wheel dampener.

following that, I still felt it, took it back in and they found BOTH drums were warped, after that
smooth as silk when braking now.

IS it a pulsating/vibration like something electronic is actuating? Almost like someone put a cellphone on vibrate and attached it to the brake pedal that, under low speed breaking, pulses and vibes? Like your brake pedal got a text from Toyota saying "hey f*ck yourself!"

Or is it a rumble strip / warped rotors feeling?

I have both. The brake pedal vibration/electronic pulsating can be reproduced by pressing the break pedal a bunch (while stopped unless you want to piss off traffic). *THAT* specific vibration is a charateristic of the OR models electronic brake accumulator thingy--its different in the Sport and other models that don't have the MTS and CRAWL control. Toyota Corporate authorized a fix for mine that included replacing that whole assembly with a new one. It went away for the most part. I still feel it occasionally but its not NEARLY as bad as I had it at first (it was quite literally every other press).

Now, if its the other feeling like you are hitting a slightly worn down highway rumble strip anywhere from 25mph-0 that's a different issue--and thats what this TSB handles.

I have the same issue. Feels like a warped rotors feeling and it's driving me nuts. How long did it take for them to get the issue fixed?

Honestly, I am on a first name, personal cell phone type basis with the service manager at this point.

I've had almost all of the 3rd gen problems, so when I told him this was driving me nuts he pushed it with Toyota corporate from his end and had them authorize replacing the entire assembly. I couldn't say how much pushing you would have to do to get it fixed or if they even would.

He called me after it was done, all dejected, and said it didn't work. Then when I picked it up and drove it home I had to call him and tell him it was WAY better than it was. It still buzzes on me 1 in 30? presses. But it was happening every other press before and now it's tolerable.

Others have found some relief with them bleeding the brakes.

My only advice is to keep it friendly and business like with your service manager. If you have a good one and can build a good rapport, they can be your biggest advocates with corporate--who usually get to decide what they will allow to be billed as warranty work.

The only dealer service department I mess with in the Richmond area is Mechanicsville at this point. That said I haven't approached them with the driveline vibration issue yet but I intend to at my 10k service (in a month or so).

Honestly my bigger issue is the diff howl.

    going to be fun!
So we have all of us that are experiencing this issue with vibration I am wondering would Toyota would think if we all got together and created one case and team up? Could this give us an advantage?

Haley on Hull. You can go there knowing, they're aware of the issue and JUST
did the fix - me! Ask for Rob Prince, he was very helpful and saw this through
    to completion.

So mine has done the same since day one.
When I'm coming to a stop the truck feels like I'm going over a washboard road and starts to shake.

Had mentioned it to my dealership along with the "rear ended slam" I feel when coming to a stop and they said they didn't feel anything when they tested it. Very frustrating.
I recently got new wheels and my question is, could they use that as the excuse for the vibration? Blame it on the tires and rims?

funny, this says it applies to all 2016 tacomas except for the TRD offroad, but my vin isn't in the list of eligible vins. Mine is a DZ5BN.

"This bulletin applies to ALL 2016 model year Tacoma vehicles NOT equipped with the TRD Off-Road Package option."
    "VDS(s): CZ5AN, GZ5AN, SZ5AN"

and to be clear, i definitely have the vibrations when coming to a stop from 45mph or so. everything in the truck vibrates. other passengers have noticed it as well.

I have a 2017 OR as well, and i feel the "rumble strip" thing at around 40mph whether decel or acel. my question is, is this bad where i have to get it fixed or is just a comfort thing? im asking because i 2inch lift up front and 1inch block in the back and i dont want to take it in like that if i have to get it done?
