I just changed from Dino oil to Mobil 1 synthetic today. Wow what a difference on the smoothness of the engine. The owners manual called for 5.7 quarts of oil, thats what I put in. The amount that drained was less then 5 quarts. I had my last oil change at the dealership. Did they just short my engine? It was only about 3k miles since the last oil change and I had not towed or hauled anything. Does the engine eat up that much oil or did the dealership just short me?
    2007 Tacoma access cab, 6 speed manuel, 4.0 V6
    Thanks

    getting there....
the 4.0 takes 5.5 quarts of oil, so just keep an eye on it. getting oil changes done at a dealership are hit or miss.........they may have just been slack.
