Yeah, the stuff they supply is prety pitiful. i bought based on the can itsself, figuring i'd use different hose, and probably have to make my own bracket. haven't really looked at the hardware they supply yet though, so we'll see.

The hose I got was from oreilly, 3/8" 225 psi fuel line, biofuel compatible. So far it holds up well to heat with no collapsing when it gets warm. It was 4 bucks a foot though! You could look at JEGS braided -6AN sized line as well. but IMO my hose routes would have the braid eating up other stuff from rubbing so im happy with my fuel line, it looks factory too...

Where exactly did you have to put the caulking?

Yeah the stock hose is some crappy thing blue stuff. I went to local hardware store and picked up some fuel lines. pretty expensive though. You can change the fitting on the top to be 3/8".
    vvvvvvvvvvvv

Unbolted the top lid and then added a bead of caulking around the bolt line and then resealed it. I put caulking around the bottom on the threads and so far no problems

Thanks. Swapped out for the 3/8 fittings and got some nice fuel line to match. Only $1.70 a foot. Probably toss it on tomorrow.

couldn't put it up by the firewall like most of you because that's where i have the auxiliary fuse panel, all of my relays, and diff breather mounted. fits nicely between the radiator and headlight though. nice open section of sheet metal right there that makes for easy mounting and ample space for emptying.

I like the idea of this. The cheap Ebay one that OP is using looks nice actually. So no baffle on the inside? I prefer no media on the inside myself. Will probably gunk up and block flow. Then the oil will run back down the hose and inside where ever it came from......

Is it possible to install some sort of valve on the bottom of the Ebay version? Or is it just a little thumb screw type thingy?

I dont see pics of the bottom.

And why do some have those little filter things on them? I thought we wanted a seal system....

Looking on ebay, you pretty much see the same 3 versions.

No media (baffle) in canister. The bottom fitting has an o-ring seal and does come out. I plan on putting a drain valve that I can attach some plastic hose to for ease of draining. I do not know why the would have a breather on them either, seems to alter the original design. There is also no gasket on the top section of the canister, so I plan on putting a little RTV sealant on it when I put it back together after I finalize the baffles.

    Nice!
Did you make a quick release or something? or a way to take the mount down to empty the can?

HAHA  its all about the warm and fuzzy feelings. I am contemplating adding one of these to my truck but I just havent really heard of any hard evidence of why to add it. It seems to be more for a nice warm fuzzy feeling of no build up going into the intake/TB. We shall see though..
