I still have yet to buy one, but I noticed they increased their prices for the new year.

Is that their Micro or Stage 1?

Do you think the Micro would be too small for the 4.0L engine? (i.e. Does this engine produce enough oily vapor that I'd be forced to drain the smaller Micro much too often?) The Micro is 1/2" smaller in diameter and 1-1/4" shorter than the Stage 1.

Get the stage 1. Check back a few pages for pics of the stage 1 installed on my truck. Very happy with the product and results.

I ordered the Saikou Michi Stage 1 with a sight tube. I'm waiting for it to be shipped.

I just want to be perfectly clear. The flow comes out of the horizontal fitting, rear of engine, right side of pic above-- flows in to catch can then back in to vertical fitting forward/left in pic, right?

I've also been looking at the Saikou Michi cans and haven't decided which one to get. Here is some email coorespondence with a tech.

Hi! Except for the draining on a regular schedule, the tanks are low maintenance. They are sealed, but if cleaning is desired, they can be handled like any other automotive part. The thing is, they are all metal, so if the drain is removed, they can be purged with cleaner, and then rinsed, and dried. But, I just got a one year old tank in hand, and except for some oil residue, the filter mesh itself is not clogged or covered in sludge. The snorkel handles the heaviest gunk, and leads that straight to the bottom. As for the ES350 would depend on if you know whether the cylinders are building up carbon deposits. Those would lower the octane levels. But truth be told, if she drives very mildly, a lowered octane rating isn't going to affect much. Aggressive driving, and performance tuned engines will be affected more by lowered octane which can cause knock.

So i have had mine on for about 1k miles so far. Emptied it today and was blown away by the amount of crap in this Moroso catch can. Sadly i do not have any pictures of it. But was a almost like a caramel color. Might be my imagination but the engine seems to run better since adding it as well (little more responsive) if that makes sense. I will take photos next time of the drain out.

Just curious . . . by installing the catch can on the PCV valve line, is this truly only catching oily vapor from one valve cover / one side of the engine? If I remember correctly, when I installed my TRD CAI there was a black rubber hose coming off of the passenger side valve cover and venting into the air intake tube just upstream from the throttle body. I'll look at it tomorrow when it's not late and I'm not tired . . .

Do you think this is too much of a lean?

Instructions say mount it upright but this would be the best way for me if it won't affect it's performance.
