    can i ask why the majority of pics show the can up higher than the hoses? wouldnt you want it to be lower to ensure that everything leaves the hose coming from the PCV valve?
    Or is there enough preasure that this isnt an issue?

    Looks good. I'm not sure about the drain being right over the tire (in case of leaks) but looks good.

    For me I wanted the intake hose to be higher at the catch can so the oil would run back into the crankcase and allow the moisture and other byproducts to enter the can to be held. The leaving side of my can hose goes down slightly and then back up into the intake which could not be helped. If the can does its job I should have next to nothing but gases entering the intake.
    The fitting is sealed with teflon tape and the chances of it leaking with the quality ball valve used is slim to none. Plus it sits just behind the tire.
    This can be installed whenever you want.

    Oil vapors are considered emissions, engines become more emissions friendly when vapors from the crankcase and valve cover vents get burned instead of just vented out.

    That's great; when it's time for an emissions test, remove the catch can. Afterwards, re-install it.

    They won't notice it on an emissions test its for compliance with auto regulations

    Just because a catch can is installed, doesn't mean it has to have a breather filter on it. Which means that nothing is venting to atmosphere. Which means that the majority of oil stays in the can, while a lot less makes it into the engine to be combusted. That in turn means better emissions than if it were to all be combusted in the engine.

    Better engine performance over the life of the vehicle, and reduces emissions because less oil is being burnt. Which means that cats last longer as well.

    If it were a boosted vehicle, and depending on how the PCV is setup from the factory, it can also free up HP.

    I have a Moroso catch can and before I installed it I could see some of the mesh inside. I'm wondering if it ever becomes necessary to clean or replace the mesh inside. Has anybody done this for maintenance purposes?

    Depending on the can, and if it has plastic, I would use caution to clean it, with brake clean. Ruined one of my older cans, which had plastic sight glasses. Cracked them, and did something to the mesh.

    If you have a robust, all metal can, clean away.

    Made some changes to my current can, as I still haven't installed the Draft42 can.

    Tapped the threads on the valve cover to fit 3/8" NPT. So that I could add a push lock -8AN fitting to it.

    Both sides are now -8AN inlets, with a breather outlet.

    To top it off, some foam padding for an isolation pad.
