really a class job!!! I think I posted this once but will agin..been playing with all different methods of draining the can..mine has a 90* el and valve as do most..found for me the ez way is to use a large sandwich bag let it droop down the fender and open the drain... anyway again really a clean nice install...!!!!!!!

Yes, 3/8" is the correct size or AN8 if you use braided line like I did.

Thank you. Many of us who have added the aux fuse block mod are limited on where to place the can since that is the best location. I've seen where a few members have installed them clear on the passenger side near the air box, but to me that is a long hose run and not practical. I had to figure out how to utilize the best location (at the aux fuse block mount) and modify a bracket to take advantage of that mount area. I also had to take into account that it needed to be accessible for easy draining and that it would not be in the way for when I have to change my spark plugs on the driver side.

You and @dino41 have really upped the game for the lowly catch can.

Definitely check with the dipstick or drain it sooner, I usually do it every week but have went as long as 3 weeks. I tend to get more in the winter due to extra condensation and I get the milkshake like you have. Summers are much less and is black.

Someone on here had some worry about the PCV drawing a big slug of fluid while being sloshed around so they installed a clear fuel filter after the catch can and before the intake manifold. They let the catch can go a little too long and saw some fluid drawn into the filter. That close to the top of the can I'd say you got a slug or two. Nothing to worry about, just check a little more often like you said.

Yeah I know it sucked some in at that amount. However I couldn’t tell while driving. No vacuum surges or anything.

The "Oil catch can install guide" described here in Tacoma World has been the only instructions I followed in successfully installing an oil catch can in my 2005 Tacoma V6 Prerunner. Credit goes to Cayucos Tacoma, Chris, thank you for the guide. Great detail with few words covering all the possible ways of installing an oil catch can. Thank you !!!!

For those who are still skeptics about the necessity of an oil catch can, here’s my reason for having installed one. This blow by deposit was destined for my valves, throttle body and who knows where else this crap ends up.FB1521B2-2187-48D1-9371-2EA4EDEEFA43.jpg

I know that @AWF ROWD is supercharged and did a catch can, not sure of the particulars. Hopefully he sees the tag and checks in.
