Well we've had a few AM's 18-20F so I got a chance to try out the oil pan heater. What it does is make your warm up a lot quicker. The needle is still all the way on C but it starts moving up in a block or 2. With out it I have to start the motor 20 to 30 min ahead of time and let it idle in the driveway. With the price of gas, I think the electric would be cheaper and I would think there would be less ware on the motor not having to start with 20F metal and oil. I hope this is helpful if you are thinking of doing this. There is an excellent sticky top of front page. :D [IMG] Sticky: Oil Pan Heater Mod
