I lost my oil plug gasket on my 2003 3.4. Can yall tell me what size the plug is? I know the head is 14mm, but I can't remember if it's a 10 or a 12mm. Thanks!

Get a new gasket from the dealer. It is a crush washer and needs to be replaced every oil change.

I agree you need it, but I used the same one for 5 oil changes before swapping it, no problems at all.

I have reused it in a pinch, but they are cheap and usually included when you buy a filter at the dealer.

yup, ever since I learned how much better the stock filter is then the rest I have been replacing the gasket every time.

I got a 10 pack of filters off ebay for cheap and it included 10 gaskets.

^ same here. I used to buy the doorman nylon washers, but learned on here the quality of Toyota brand filters and switched back. And yep new washer w every filter. Good call.
