Greetings from Colorado (I-70 at the foothills).

I finally found a Tacoma to work with, and my 'new-to-me', well cared-for, super white, 2010 TRD Sport DCSB auto will arrive in the driveway sometime before month's end.

You know I'll be updating with a few pics, and I'll be reading about lifts and a little armor. While I hope that you all will forgive me if I ask stupid-noob questions, I won't ask for any quarter on all the noob-teasing that must ensue (not that I enjoy getting ripped on, but if I step in it... I'll own it).

Hope t'see ya on the trails or elsewhere.

Lots of reading on these Gen2s to be certain; TW is a great resource.

Picked it up, and washed it...

Let's call these the "BEFORE" pics, OK?

And this has a goofy hand's-free Bluetooth thing that I've not yet had much time to research ( http://www.sigmaautomotive.com/autodax/blueconnect.php soon to be removed, I hope):

Let's see where this goes from here.
    • 110k miles as a "grandma's car"
    • Stock suspension with OEM shocks
    • Has the recall leaf packs
    • BFG KO2's @ 265/70-16 on "wheels" that I haven't researched yet
    • Dealer replaced left needle bearing less than 1k-miles ago
    • It's still under the extended frame coverage, so, it'll get a good hammering (and lanolin, if I don't poke through) next weekend.
    • Oh yeah, both DRL / marker / Turn Signal lenses are melted and broken (gotta do something about those)

Just a bit of an update.

    • Replaced the Predator steps with RCI Bolt-On Sliders
    • Sold those 22k-mile KO2s to a neighbor and went skinny 235/85-16
    • Most of the suspension has arrived; just need a break in the weather for a few days

... well, this has gone un-attended for some time.:crapstorm:

Pre-plague (Oct of '19), I did get the rear bumper on (RCI - from this thread)

Paint is just good ol' Rust-Oleum Stops Rust Gloss White - right outta the quart with a little Valspar 4625 Enamel Hardener added (yeah, it's said "Sport" on the side; so I had'ta)
I've got the front bumper cut, but not welded yet - expect that to take a little while longer (shop tooling update got in the way). At least I'm still moving forward on this a little, right?
