    Hey all!

Finally getting around to installing my OME Dakar leafs and we are having some concerns with the alignment.

I ordered the CS046RA and RB, basically with everything together my shackles are almost straight up and down.

It also looks like the axle is forward an inch or so...

Eye to eye measurements on the new leafs were 52" 1/4, the stock's were roughly 54.5"

Anyone encounter issues when installing these? Truck is a 2002 4x4 extended cab

Here’s my OME alignment and shackles on the 04

Shows both left and right. They’ve been on the truck for 3years and about 50k miles2F62B81D-1D50-45C3-A8C9-CC0C5D2A78CA.jpg27549651-CC63-4A28-B292-22411175A183.jpg7F138466-2E26-48BF-9AB2-86D9A6143386.jpgD7F1CABF-1CE7-4C24-BD18-7BD24096A1E0.jpg

There are shims available to help fix this to an extent.

Also, the leaf pack will take a month or so to settle so give it time. As it settles, the angle won't be as severe.

This is common with aftermarket leaf springs on Tacomas. My custom Alcan springs moved my axle forward quite a bit, too. More than yours by the looks of it. As long as it's even side to side (one side isn't more forward than the other) then you're OK.

You don't want to rub the wheel well when it stuffs either but it doesn't look like you're close to that. Mine are further forward and don't rub.

And yeah if you really want to move them back you can install relocation shim plates under the springs (on top of the axle) that will move the axle back an inch or so.

Known issue. Look at my signature below for the combination of things that got it centered (All Pro relocation...)

remember the front of the leaf is a "fixed" point. when the spring "compresses" so-to-speak it will move the shackle towards the back and thus so will the axle (not inches but some) so no worries

also, your exhaust goes UNDER the leaf, not over. you will constantly hear metal-on-metal contact as it bangs against the leaf pack
