    I didn't pay too close attention to them when I installed....I figured the alignment tech would mess with them anyway. I don't think they did though.

    :spy: lol. Im not the LR uca expert, but i have read just about every thread here on them. I posted in the other thread brad. As far as alignments go there is alot that i don't fully understand, i have been told that your caster numbers should actually be .5* different, maybe to adjust for road crown :notsure:
    But like i said in the other thread, if your toe and camber numbers are good, and caster is in the range you want it then i would just leave them alone. When i got an alignment i don't think they touched the UCAs even though i explained them to the the tech and gave him the install sheet.

    Thats not bad at all IMO. Perfect would be toe and caster at 0, but if you rotate your tires i doubt you will have uneven wear.

    I just read this on the TTORA link about OME

    OME springs don't often hold up well to the weight of additional equipment such as: aftermarket heavy-duty bumpers, and winches.

    Does a topper and/or bed rack affect the springs as much as a heavy duty bumper and winch?

    The nuetral position, which adds 2* of caster. The SPC logo on the gold plate should be facing the back of the tire.

    I have the logos facing out so i can read them. I'll double check the position. Seems like a lot of eye balling though, theres no actual markings on the arms.

    Is that possibly a old post? OME front springs had issues with sagging, but now they sell 884x, 885x and they are not suposed to sag. I think the dakars are pretty solid, but all leaf springs will sag over time. If you carry alot of weight in the bed the OME AAL for the dakars should help with that.

    I'm a 1st gen. And I'm assuming they're talking about the Dakars when they say "springs." Don't they call the fronts "coils?"

    And I'm contemplating an AAL but don't want a ridiculous amount of rake, especially when I have the topper off.

    The old springs had that issue, the new ones with the x addressed that issue. And that was the front, not the rear.

    No eyeballing, there is a star washer that does not allow the adjustable caster plate to move in small increments. From the nuetral postion you can only go up or down a full degree. If it is not in the neutral position you will be able to tell.

    Hmm. I dont see why there would be much difference for first gen, i dont know if they offer a AAL for the first gens though. Coils are springs really, coil springs is the correct term. And if they are refering to aftermarket bumpers and winches then they are most likely talking about the front.
