A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I ran 886s without my plate bumper for a year. Didn't experience any issues. Truck handled better than my wifes car! Had to install 1/2" TP spacer after the bumper went on to reduce rake back to 1/2".

The coil produces the lift, so I would assume the Billie set at 0 would be exactly the same.

884s should be roughly 2". I am not positive on nitros vs 5100s. The difference would be the location of the coil seat on the shock, i believe it is the same or at least very close, although it seems some people claim a little more lift with 5100s, but lift heights can be subjective. How people measure, how high the truck sat before the lift, things like that can effect measurements. So its hard to tell you exactly how much lift you will get. Nitros vs bilsteins will be about the same. Benefits of going with OME are the shocks are valved to be paired with OME coils, some vedors claim there can be warranty issues when you pair 5100s with OME coils, the trim packer (lean spacer) works with OME only. Which is a advantage if you want small top plate spacers as well as a lean spacer. Advantages of 5100s are a longer extended length, so less likely to top out the shock and they are cheaper.

Correct but he didn't say at zero so I assumed he was asking in general. That's why I said at certain settings they may be different.

Is there a lean spacer that will work with the 5100/OME spring setup?

Yes, 1/4" top plate spacer. But say you are going for a full 3" lift. You would want top plate spacers on both sides. So 1/4" passanger, 1/2" driver, but 1/2" top plate spacer requires longer studs, so more parts more work.

It's a gamble chasing away lean like that IMO. Could end up leaning on the PS. I'd stick with the trim packer on the nitro shock and keep the TP spacers the same.

The question was for a 5100 shock / OME coil set up

I know. I think the answer could easily be deduced from my answer.

    I.E., stick with the nitros.

I think the trim packer is 5mm, which is just under 1/4", and they essentially do the same thing as small top plate spacers, just different ends of the coils. But i agree on doing OME with the trim packer, but IMO there are better reasons to pair OME coils vs. 5100s. Even though i still have some drivers side lean with the trim packer and a "+" dakar pack on the drivers side.

I thought the trim packer preloaded the coil :notsure: I didn't bother installing it.

The TP spacers do not, as they sit on top of the entire strut.

After measuring I know I have lean, it just doesn't seem noticeable.

Meh. Doesn't bug me. I should remeasure though with the 1/4" spacers and sway removed now that everything has had a chance to settle.

Ya i guess it does preload the coil. So ya not the same as top plate spacers.

I still had about 1/4" lean even with the trim packer installed (and a + dakar on the driver's side). Not bad but it doesn't completely get rid of the lean. I doubt the tiny amount of pre-load the trim packer gives you affects the ride at all.
