I think 7 is the stock pack. You can remove a leaf if the ride is that bad for you.

I added an all pro bumper and skid after about a year of having 886s on my dclb. The rake went from 1/2" to 1.5". In order to get the lift back I used the 13mm aluminum spacer. I have a hunch with 885s you're going to want the longer studs installed when you assemble the strut so you can add in the spacer as needed.

Like OZ said, she'll be a little stiff unloaded. I'm at 25k and it doesn't bother me. I've had 1/2 ton in the back a couple times and it rides like a Cadillac. Worth it if you're going to put your truck to work.

 

Cmon buy it already! . we already talked about a level lift with OME. I have 885s and a leaf pulled from the dakars with 1/2" of rake. I have sliders, and a plate bumper should be going on this weekend, so ill take some measurments and pics for you. My Icons are off for a rebuild and my nitros are back on.

 

i highly recommend the 886 coils if your running all that weight

 

Good idea, although 1/4" spacers shouldn't require longer studs, better off doing it just in case, especially if he is ordering everything pre-assembled. IIRC he is getting a aluminum front bumper, and with no winch 886s might be a little much.

Valid points my good man! No doubt if its full steel armor and winch 886 is in order.

 

i dunno i would install the 886 because you guys know as well as i do, once you have the bumper/ you want the winch...

 

I liked my 886s without any armor on the front, so they get my vote unless he's going all aluminum or specifies he can't take a stiffer ride.

 

once the bumper comes, the winch follows, then the lights etc.. and the list continues

I did my gen 1 by myself, re-did the front of my 2011 by myself, and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. It'll take you a full weekend if you take your time.

 

Hopefully g34rh34d logs back on before too long so he knows his shocks aren't installed correctly. I sent him a PM just in case he doesn't come back to the thread.

 

OK sounds like what I want for a "near-level" ride is going to be 886 with the 13mm spacer. I think any of my alignment issues will be resolved by going with new UCA's which I plan to do anyway. I won't need to remove a leaf from the dakars either? Let me know if thats good and I'll get it on order. Thanks for your inputs.
