I already asked but didn't get a direct answer..for ome 3 in lift do you need the 5 mm trim packer? Is there always a bro lean or is it case by case?

Thanks for the heads up. I'm cautiously optimistic about the dealer, but yours is good advice. The kit comes with OME's "Driveline Spacer Kit (FK29)" and to be honest, it looks better now than before the install.

I don't think mine is a suspension or drive shaft problem. I want to blame the transmission, but I confess to not liking the auto in this truck very much so I'm biased. My guess is a bad motor or tranny mount and they should be able to test those components.

With only 12K on it, it's barely been used and never abused. The dealer has only seen it once for the free oil change, so I haven't abused them yet either. They say there's a first time for everything, but the service managers there have been fairly decent in the past. Maybe they still are...

LOL no clanks or clunks. The stock Bilsteins didn't go "woosh".

Edit: Actually my front end does go "clunk" when the suspension drops on the front. But I go no worries... or should I?

Thanks man. 885 coils, 1/4" spacers, and a 5mm trim packer on the driver side.

Your truck looks awesome as well.

Yes sir! Really only noticed it over speed bumps. I whined about that problem when I first installed the kit and then decided not to worry about it.

Woosh is a common noise a shock makes. But it isn't common how loud it is...

I can hear my shocks inside my truck with all the windows up and the radio at around 10.

I've researched quite a bit, now it's time to finalize. There's a lot of information to absorb here for someone that's never owned a truck or lifted vehicle. Thanks in advance for all your help.

I'm looking for 2.5-3" lift, maintain close to factory ride. I typically don't off-road much. When I do, it's a pretty rough road with large rocks, mud holes and steep hills climbing up to my camp (about 1 mile long and takes about 35 minutes to drive in 4lo 1st gear).

My truck: 2008 Access cab 4.0l 4x4 TRD Sport - stock excluding (soon to be) Relentless IFS.

    *885x
    *OME shocks front and rear
*Dakars - Do they typically come with all the necessary bushings?
*Axle shims? - Concern for drive-line vibration
*Carrier bearing? - Concern for drive-line vibration
*Sway bar re-locators? - I intend to keep the sway bar
*Spacers for the 'taco' lean? - Would this also be used to get the full 3" lift or are the 885x's sufficient with my lack of trail armor?
*LR UCA? - Read the reviews, seems like a wise idea if I try to get the full 3"
*Bump stops for leaf springs - necessary?

I plan on getting the coil-overs assembled - although I have the coil spring compressors, it seems much easier to have them per-assembled with new top hats.

Am I missing anything? I'd like to keep this kit total around the $1800 range including UCA if possible - however if I'm missing something 'critical' please update me!

OME complete kit w/ 885s on Nitrocharger Sports, 1/4" spacers, Dakars w/ Nitrocharger Sports, LR UCAs, 265/70-17, Duratracs, G4 Elite tonneau, Weathertech Window Deflectors, Weathertech digital floor liners, factory JBL/Entune, rear differential breather relocate.
I was in the same boat until June when I purchased and installed my OME lift. I got everything from Wheeler's for closer to $2,000. You don't have to go with spacers but I went with 1/4" ones to make sure I was closer to 3" of lift. OME comes with a small spacer for the taco lean so you don't need to worry about that. I only used the carrier bearing drop and I have no vibes. I'd get the UCAs if they're in your budget, which it looks like they are, better safe than sorry. The Dakars don't come with the front bushings (or rear, I forget which) but any good shop with make sure to include new ones when they sell it to you. I would get the sway bar relocate kit just to be safe, some people have issues with the bar hitting the coils, some don't....it's hit or miss. I haven't added bigger bumps yet. You may want to get some extended rear brake lines too although I don't think it's 100% necessary.

Is your front part of leaf spring move side to side? Because mine moves, its supposed to be on the middle of the front bushing. When mine move to the side, it's make squeaking noise because it's rubbing the front mount. The picture with the bic lighter seems like its in the middle of the bushing but when it move to the side, its hit the fuel tank.
