I will probably do my install next weekend, hoping that we will be done resurfacing the floor at the car club on base.

I put + on driver side and 0 on passenger and I still lean in the back with driver coil over adjusted ¼ in higher.

It's all too easy brother :)

Give Downsouth Motorsports or Wheelers Offroad a call, and they will set you up with a total package with everything you need. There's another large vendor but the name escapes me. Check for a TW discount as well!

Check out Toytec too. I was well served a week ago when I ordered my kit for my 2nd Gen, and shipping was very quick too (I am living in Canada).

I'd give you a parts breakdown but I am not as familiar with gen 1 Tacos as I am installing OME in a Gen 2. The only OME I had in my Gen 1 were the Dakars.

Getting my OME full kit installed tomorrow by The Truck Shop in San Diego. I ended up going with 265/70/17 on KMC Enduro and a 1/4" spacer on the driver's side (Ive got a dual battery back there behind the seat in addition to all the other shit). Will get pics and before/after measurements up after the install.

Thanks, but I sold my 95 and bought the one pictured below. I put full OME on it at just over 3k miles.

That's a good idea to purchase the spring/ shock already assembled, but be careful. The only reason I didn't go that route when I bought my lift was because you have to know the placement of where the three studs on the top plate line up with the bottom of the shock were it bolts into the LCA.( if that makes sence)

It's no biggie if its off a little you can usually get away with sticking a screwdriver or punch through the lower shock hole and align it so it will fall into the shock bucket on the lca.
If your coil/ shock combo is too tight you won't be able to spin the shock and then would have to use a spring compressor to loosen it a bit for the right angle, so it can fall into place. ( I learned that the hard way):D
Anyway good luck on the lift.

    Thanks,

    Brett

HAH so another over speed bump goes clank question.... I know there are tons of threads and posts about this, but I couldnt find anything on my specific question. :crapstorm:

I just had my OME kit installed last night. I have a DCSB prerunner and went with the 885x on nitro 90000. Aftermarket UCAs were scratched to hell during shipping and a new set were ordered to be installed on Friday. The stock UCAs look pissed, but I do not see that they are anywhere close to hitting the coil. I got a full 3" up front without spacers (20.25" to 23.25" center of hub to fender and I did NOT expect to get a full 3") and I have a question about the "over speed bump goes clank" sound everyone is reporting. Perhaps I am just looking for it and maybe Im just being a little over-sensitive with all the talk about it.

That was long winded, but now my question(s) to anyone who knows about this problem, cough*OZ*cough. Is it a "clank" sound like metal on metal or is it just a stiff jostle and a sound like you are hitting a speed bump at 25mph? Of course, with all the talk about the clank, I spent about 20 mins today hitting speed bumps at speeds up from 5mph to 20-25mph. Yes its harsher than my stock OR setup and I feel the suspension extending quickly, but im not getting a "clank" like I would think of when described by "over speed bump goes clank". I really only feel the jostle when accelerating up to the bump and hitting at 20-25mph. It sounds/feels similar to when I would hit bumps/ruts with my stock setup but a just little more firm. Im not getting a sound that I would mistake for coil perch hitting the sway bar, which seems to be the original theory, so maybe Im in the clear and just not having this issue?? I know that the current theory is the shock topping out harshly, but does that still sound like a metal on metal coil perch hitting the sway bar? Has anyone tried downgrading from 885s to 884s? Thanks in advance for your help

If you have it you will hear it. If you're trying to get it to make the sound without success, you aren't experiencing the issue.

Abarber, I have it and it's unmistakeable. Also, you'll see the metal worn bear where the UCA rubs across the coils.
