Don't forget the bushing kit for the shackle end of the Dakar's these bushings are easily installed & a nice option besides trying to reuse your old ones

I also used these center bolt head lengtheners from ATS Springs. Essentially they are spacers that go between the center bolt head and leaf spring giving the center bolt the proper length when using leaf spring shims. adding an angle shim decreases the amount of the center bolt head that will protrude for locating the leaf pack to axle housing.. the spacers are cheap peace of mind IMO.

    http://www.autoandtrucksprings.com/products/Center_Bolt_Head_Lengthener_2_Pcs-1662-0.html

you can see in this picture the added length of the center bolt head, and you can also see that the Dakar's do not come with the rear bushings.

I glanced at it but I knew I wasn't going to have time to work on it again for a couple weeks, so I just took it in. Thanks!

    Thanks man

Yea, 265/75R16's. I really wanted to go with 285´s but it's a brand new truck and I didn't want to cut/trim anything on it.

I think my body is sitting a little differently than some folks. My passenger side bolt was hitting more than just the fender.....it was hitting parts of the body that were not really bendable. I had to cut it to get it out. The driver's side was fine and I actually put it back in the stock way because of the the brake lines that I wasn't comfortable moving.

Yeah, I was almost panicked on the D/S until I discovered the retaining nut on the brake line clamps. Undid those and the lines moved nicely. :)

I wasn't sure how flexible the lines were and I didn't want to chance breaking one so I didn't mess with 'em. Better safe than sorry when you're a rookie like me at doing this stuff.

The lines themselves don't really flex, but loosening the two clamps on the inner fender gave me just enough room to sneak that bolt in. I'll do up a good write up on Monday.

I finally got mine done. I spent about 7 hours doing the work, bumper to bumper, with an assistant. I'm glad no bolts were seized in the bushing sleeves, they all pulled out like a charm. I had to slightly use the oxy/acetylene torch to help the removal of the old u-bolt nuts.

My new setup: 885x, top plate spacers, dakars, and Total Chaos UCAs.

    And the result

I will wait until I get her aligned before I send my measurements to OZ-T.

It does, can't figure how valuable it can be at times. When I helped my buddy on his 03 Taco, this shop was the only place where I could get it done. Thanks to the fact that I am a supervisor there, I can get in anytime outside the business hours.

Mine came from Toytec, with a bushing. They also take the time to put a tie-wrap to ensure it stays there during shipping. Their listing for the Dakar specify with bushings

Hi guys, im ordering the full OME kit from toytec before the sale ends today.
Going with 885 coils, top plate spacer, LR UCA's, rock shields, Dakar rear leafs.

I added the FK29 to the kit since it wasnt included, is there anything else I should order with this kit?
I see some mention of bushings for the dakars and a set of shims?

Don't worry about bushings for the Dakars, Toytec includes them already.

Shims is only a way to fix a possible driveshaft vibration, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I havent tried them yet on my application, neither the carrier bearing drop.

Did everybody get centre pin collars in case they need to use axle shims with their Dakars ?
