When I armored up the front my 886's dropped down about an inch. I used the 1/2" top plate spacer to regain the lift and then deleted my sway bar for a little better articulation off road. You can see install pics on my build thread, just click the picture below.

I wanted to order those but the guys at 4wheelparts said it wasn't necessary. And I do a lot more on road than off road.

Unless he's got your truck and the kit you installed on it, he probably doesn't know what you need.

The TP spacers are cheap, and easy to install, problem is you need the longer studs installed.

My truck is my DD, and I don't miss the sway at all. If I didn't have armor I wouldn't notice it was gone at all.

So I messed up and had a collar on the Dakars that was too big to go into the hole on the axle, So i did without, on the other hand it gave me enough thread to attach the wheelers bumpstop

    Alignment, round #2 ding!
So I went back in and asked if we could hit 0 toe, 0 camber, 3 caster. Tech grumbled and came back 2.5 hrs later with these:

    Left Right
    -0.1 Camber 0.0
    2.5 Caster 3.2
    0.00 Toe -0.01

    Seems to drive pretty good.

    Too few to list.
Pretty big difference in caster. I would have had them set at 2.5 on both if they can no longer achieve any higher on the driver side.

I wouldn't be pleased with it either. I've never had a shop give me back my truck with more than 2 tenths of a variation of caster between left and right.

The grumpy old alignment tech was insulted when I came back and asked him to tweak my numbers. So after 3 hrs(the 2nd time around) of him failing to admit that he didn't understand how to utilize the aftermarket UCA's, I wasn't going to push his buttons. I'm going to try to find someone else who is willing to work with me to get things dialed in. Good help is hard to find!

Good help is hard to find. Luckily for me my cousin works at sears and we used their alignment machine. I spent a good hour+ trying to dial in my alignment. Some things you just can't do at home.

Here is how you do it at home. You can do almost anything at home if you have to.

So I'm looking into getting the full OME lift and was curious what you guys thought about the price. The dealer I asked is a Toytec dealer and he quoted me $2300 picked up for full OME with 885 coils dakars and shocks, assembled fronts, LR UCAs, diff drop, carrier bearing drop and trim packer. Seems kinda high from I've roughly quoted from Toytec and Wheelers. I messaged both Wheelers and Toytec and they said shipping wouldn't be worth it to Canada. Thoughts?

That's a couple hundred more than i paid in Canada for the same set up ( LR UCA's were shipped from Toytec in the US )

I got my OME stuff from Cap-it and my LR UCA's from Toytec in the US .

Is the Toytec dealer you are talking about in Alberta ? Cochrane Toyota IIRC ?

Hmm I went to Cap It here in Edmonton and the guy I chatted with turned me off from buying there. Asked for a quote on this kit and he went off about some other kit I didn't even want and wouldn't really listen.

Yup, I've heard good things about them and its the closest place to me other than Cap It that supplies that kind of stuff

Yeah , lots of people don't like Cap-it , I didn't know any better when I bought my stuff , but having said that the people at the one that's closest to me are very friendly and helpful , I bought my Leer canopy there as well
