Ok, so at the risk of being a little redundant to other threads and getting flamed, I'm going to ask this anyway. I haven't really seen a clear cut answer to this and the threads relating to it seem to jump around a bit. Also, being new to the lift world and wanting to do things right the first time as I am on a tight budget, I figured the best thing to do is ask. So here goes:

My truck is an 06 DCSB TRD OR

I am going to do a full OME lift kit all the way around.

    http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/OME-Tacoma-Suspension-lift-kit_p_231.html

885 coils, no top spacers, full Dakar leaf pack in rear, front diff. drop kit

Also going to upgrade to LR UCAs

I pretty much have my heart set on these wheels:

    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/are-18679060224n/overview/

I wanna match them with BFG All Terrains in a 285/70/17. The wheels have a 4.06" backspacing. My question for you all is will they rub, and if so how much/how bad would the rub be. Also, would getting additional wheel spacers fix said rub, if it exists. And if it wouldn't, what kind of trimming/how much trimming would need to be done. Keeping in mind, I am only doing the shocks/coils for the front, no spacer, but i AM putting the 885 coils on.

Any/all info would be greatly appreciated. Also, if i was to decrease my tire size to a 275/70/17, how much less clearance would that give me? I really wanna use that as a last resort, to be perfectly honest.

Again, I apologize for any redundancy in this post compared to others, but I have done as much searching as possible and gotten quite a bit of different feedback from other threads and also other websites/forums, so I'm really at a loss as to what to do here. Thanks again for any help.

Dear lord there is a ton of info in this thread but I'm having trouble locating some info. Just need a little advice.

I have a 2013 short bed, double cab. Still stock except for the fact that I pt some Fuel Trophy wheels on it and 265/70R17 Toyo Open Country AT2.

I am looking for a lift with about 1 and 3/4 to 2 inches. I was going to get the bilstein 5100's and set them at 1.75 and a Icon 3 progressive 3 leaf pack and call it a day. Then I started to get concerned about the preloading of the springs. Also I felt that the OME lift was probably better that the bilstein option.

So now I was looking at the OME lift and am getting conflicting heights for coils from vendors. I do not wan to have to replace the UCA's. So what OME lift/springs should I be looking at for a lift around the 1 and 3/4 to 2 inch mark?

Should I get the 884's or 885's? Also how much is the OME leaf pack going to give for lift compared to the Icon 3 leaf at about 1.5 inches? Which OME rear shock should I run with the Icon leaf pack?

Also do I need and shims for the leaf pack or spacers for the taco lean? Any diff drop?

    Thanks for the help.

More lift doesn't just help clearance for bigger tires. Sure, maybe ground clearance to the lowest point (diff) is the same, but a lift will significantly increase breakover angle too - which on a longer wheelbase truck, is just as important as ground clearance.

Referring to suspension lift of course. Body lift will only help with fitting tires.

Yea I know, I can't wait to put all this on and go hit some trails!

Hey, I like bud light! I occasionally try other random beers they have in the "build your own 6 pack" display at publix or the liquor store.

Just givin you shit. ;) I personally have grown to like some much more hearty beers over the years which makes drinking bud light, miller light or the rest in that group kind of difficult now.
