They were new coils, both 884x. I think on the picture you can still see the little white label on them.

But as I said, whatever the initial difference was, I don't think it made a real difference in the end. Once compressed and installed (with the driver's side trim packer), I still have about 1/4 inch Taco lean.

What offset are your Dropstars DS645's? 18mm, 0mm, or -12mm?

I'm sorry, but I don't think I posted a pic of my assembled coils+shocks. Are you referring to this guy quoted below?

Just started installing the new shocks and 885's. Got the drivers side out with little issue. Put the new shock and coil back in. Used floor jack to compress the spring and push the shock through the top mount. Can only get the thread to come up a little, not enough to get the nut on.

    Using original top mount.

Make sure you have jack stand under the frame opposite the front side your jacking. You could compressing the leaf spring and not the coil.

    Going to be ordering this:
Is there anything else that I will need? Such as will it come with EVERYTHING I need to complete the job or will I have to go buy, for example, bushings or cotter pins?

I just had to twist the shock. It came through. Continuing this morning on passenger and rear. Expect progress updates

so a while ago, maybe a year and a half ago.. i installed OME shocks F/R with 885's and 1/4" top plates for a full 3", plus the Trim packer for the taco lean. not even a year into having them on, i noticed the driver side began to sag quite a bit. after a few months, it was a full inch lower than the passenger side. I went to Sierra Expeditions where i purchased all the parts from, had them check it out as well, and we determined that they needed to be replaced under OME warranty. well i finally got around to swapping the coils this last week, only to come to the conclusion that the driver side is still almost a full inch lower. granted, the passenger side hasnt had time to fully settle yet, but already it isnt looking good.

Now i know taco lean is a big factor, but, i installed the trim packer to solve that issue, which, after both installs, doesnt seem to really do anything.

Is there something else im missing? does anyone else have almost a full inch in height difference? am i just being too picky and need to learn to deal with it? maybe the rear end is affecting the lean as well?

any input or thoughts on the matter is greatly appreciated.

    fellas

Seems odd , my front is within 1/4" of my install height over 4 years ago

Is there an easy way to remove old leaf springs. The leaf buckles the bolts when they're half way out.
