You need to measure from the middle of the hub to the bottom of the fender for the measurements to be relevant to others.

A good buddy of mine is offering to give me his 885x's for free. They have about 200 miles on them.

Right now I have the following setup:

    2011 DCSB Pre-Runner V6
    5100's Front, 1.75
    5100's rear, TSB leaf installed
    Stock everything else
    Sway bar attached.
    Tire Size: 265/75/16

I've been reading up and I think this is right, but I want to make sure before I do this. If I take the pre-load out of my 5100's and set them to 0, then install the 885x's with no spacers that should raise my truck 2.5 inches roughly before spring sag kicks in, I think.

What I'm trying to picture in my head is the stance I'll get. The guy who is giving these to me didn't have the TSB leaf installed, but had and Icon leaf installed. He said he'll give me the Icon leaf if I want it but he thinks it is pretty worn out and might need to be reshaped. I haven't had a chance to go out and measure then read up on it to see what I'll get out of it.

I'm looking to get level as possible or even slight bro lean. Right now I have a bit of rake in the front.

Lastly, should I get UCA's? I read under 3 inches you don't need them, but it seems that some people have alignment issues and others don't.

the 885 coils will yield 2.5" of lift, correct.

the Icon packs yields 1.5" of lift with the overload removed (which i wouldnt recommend doing as they just cannot hold weight and quickly sag)

I think you would be pretty much perfect with the the 885's, billies at 0, and your leaf pack now. worse case scenario.. you just add in the icon pack if needed, which is really easy.

oh and for the UCA's.. you'll be just fine with the factory ones.. until you get to that 3" mark.. then its a grey area.. but recommended.

    :D

Just throwing this out there. My shop aligned my truck today. They set my caster at 2.8 and my toe and camber at 0 on stock uca's. I was really worried about them not being able to align it but the tech there got it dead on. He set my caster at 2.8 to keep my front tires from rubbing the cab mount.

I thought the stock UCAs didn't have adjustability.

Adjustments are made at the lower control arms only when using factory upper control arms. Sounds like his alignment technician seemed to actually care about his vehicle unlike most shops.

Hey guys, so Ive got some 5100's 1/4 spacer (for the taco lean) LR UCA and OME 885 (from a member) being shipped to me. What is the general consensus on installation difficulty? Trying to set up a mod day and get it all installed, and want to get an idea of what I'm getting myself into.

Im fairly mechanically inclined, but the spring compressor def sketches me out.

 it all varys honestly it took me and another member 10 hours to put on a full OEM kit with Dakars and LR uppers HOWEVER we had to run to the store at least 3 times and the dealership another time so that wasted a lot of time. Also we had never installed any lift before so it was very fresh to us. I bet doing it again with all the tools it could be done in 5-6 hours if everything goes smooth (we also were working outside in the dark with no rear lights for 3 of those hours)

where you getting those 885s from ? ;):D

did you get anything for the rear? AAL & rear shocks etc?

This^^^^ I took my truck to a mom and pop place that has been around forever. The whole family works there and they won't let you leave until you're fully satisfied.

not messing with the rear leaf pack during this install I bet it can be done in 3.5-4 hours maybe less. That was a pain!

I need to adjust my LR UCAs too.

I ordered a winch today so I might need to make a "mod weekend" and install that along with my light bar, rear and front pods and all the switches for them. :D:D

Man all this suspension research is messin with my mind.

    2014 DCSB trd 4x4.

If I go full OME lift kit should I get 885 coils? I have no extra bumpers or winch. No armor. No intentions of adding weight. I am for sure going with Dakar leaf pack in rear. Will I need new UCA with this set up?
