    Hey Ryan,

I have pretty much the same set up as you. I have the 886 coils with the sport shocks. I did get aftermarket UCA (upper control arms) in order to get my alignment to spec. However this is not necessary, as some have gotten the alignment to spec. As for a diff drop, I do not have one, and they don't really do anything. I do however have a carrier bearing drop.

As for install, if the springs are assembled your essentially just bolting them on. If the springs are not you may have to get a shop to assemble them for you since the 886's are pretty stiff.

here is a video that gives a bit of insight for install. Removal of shocks and what not:

    Hope this helps

I've personally asked ARB support and they confirm that unless you're going above what Dakar's do by some means, extended brake lines aren't necessary.

Hello everyone , I just bought a 2015 dclb sport. Before I go tearing stuff on my truck I just want to make sure I'm in the clear . I bought a complete ome kit 885 with sport shocks and Dakar. Also the shim for the driver side and driveline bearing drop kit. I've read quite a bit and I don't know if I'm ahead of where I was an hour ago. :-( will I be sitting fairly level with this set up? Also do I need to purchase anything else? I've read that diff drop kit is a waste, along with new uca and brake lines as long as I don't lift it more then 3"

Thanks for all the help guys, -just a nervous guy

You should still have rake. Don't rule out UCAs. I have a 2010 Sport DCLB and needed UCAs to get my caster in spec after jsut the 885s.

Might consider installing center pin collars in case you need to run some shims.

I'm super new at this stuff so excuse maybe these simple questions. How would I fix the rake? Also isn't the cb drop kit I got for the shims?

    1) raise the front or lower the rear

    2) the CB drop shims down the driveshaft carrier bearing ( CB )

Has anyone tried replacing just the shocks without adding lift. I only ask because my stock shocks are on their way out and I want to upgrade to a more solid shock set up. I was considering the 90021 fronts and 60091 rears since phasing out n182's. Can these be ran with stock springs? More people say ome ride better than billys and have far less issues with leaking shocks after few thousand miles.

So I searched and could not find an easily accessible answer. I am considering the Dakars for an 09 DCSB with a Leer topper. My question is I have the topper on 95% of the time, and I have camping gear (100lbs) and a pup that is going to be ~200lbs. Should I get the D29XL springs for the extra weight (200 all the time up to 500-600) plus people? or will I be fine with the regular leaf pack. I will also be doing a U-bolt flip kit if that matters at all.

Depends how much lift you want , between my Leer cap and tools I run around with 450lbs of gear at all times with no issues on the stock Dakar pack

Same here. I bought the extra leafs, but haven't had any need for them. Pretty impressed with the stock Dakar pack, actually. With my Leer cap and an honest 3 face cord of 1 year old hardwood spread between the truck and my 5x10 aluminum trailer, I've still got 2-3 inches of rear suspension travel before the bump stops.

Stuff and things that make it better.
So it looks like this is an issue between 1st and 2nd Gens, I ran stock Dakars with 300 lbs of gear on some rough dirt roads and I hit my bump stops more than once. I added the D6XL and now it feels like butter down the washboards with 200-500lbs in the back.
