I have ome with 885's. When I'm in a turn usually happens full lock turning left. I hear a pop sound. I've heard it on both sides. Any ideas?

You will have a bit of rake at first with the AAL, I sure did. I threw a few bags of concrete mix in the back for a couple of weeks and it helped it settle quicker. Out of curiosity, what made you decide on the 883's instead of 882's?

Heavy bumper, heavy winch. Firm, less bouncy ride. I'll see how I like it. It was honestly a toss up between the two and I had more people recommend the 883 for my application.

I'll throw out the same question for you why 882 over 883? :p

I know these questions have answered before. It's still a little confusing, and I don't want to do this twice. I've got a '14 DCLB 4x4 with full skids, sliders, and a camping shell (basically a heavy pig). I was only hoping to get 2-3" of lift from stock so I can keep good CV angles. Questions are:

    1. Which springs? 885, 886? Would like to error on the heavy side for future bumpers and winch.
    2. Which leaf springs? Daker? Again, heavy side (possible HC bumper with swing out).
    3. Is OME a good setup for my rig as a daily driver with a mix of off-roading? I know some people are installing fully adjustable coil overs. I don't mind spending the extra $, but only if it is needed.

    Thanks for the help.

I had to do the armor first, as I already had some rocks hit some stuff. Now a lift is an absolute must. Bumpers will have to wait though. Expensive stuff. Thanks again for the help.

Oz-ARB says OMESB108 are poly bushings for CS047R Dakars. Should be available from any OME ARB dealer.

    Awesome , good to know

are they for front and rear or just rear ? The Dakars come with the fronts already installed with OEM style bushings or at least they used to , do you remove them and install these or do you know if the fronts are now poly ?

I'm gong to be looking to do just about the exact same setup. Are you saying to put the 886s on before the front bumper? I would be worried about the front being to stiff.

I have no lift now with skids and SOS sliders.

I ran 881's until I added a full set of skids and the ride was perfect, so picking 882's was an easy choice as they have the same spring rate as the 881's. Even now with the addition of a winch, sliders and IFS skids the ride is just how I like it. I'll think about going to 883's when I add the second battery and the under-hood welder.

I plan on getting 884x and was wondering if the nitros or bilstein 5100s would be better. I do not do any serious off roading.

Ha! I wish I had that level of clarity myself? ARB just kept repeating "you'll need 2 packs for 1 leaf". ??? After asking 3 times 3 different ways, I just came to the conclusion I'll ask the dealer upon ordering.

Just received my leafs and the fronts are still rubber. Ordered polys from Toytec and they have a noticeable gap between the poly bushing and spring eye. Toytec says they will expand. From all my past experiences, poly bushings have always been press in by hand or c-clamp. Whats your opinion here?

What Scott said. Crap might be too strong of a word but it'll definitely ride stiff with only a little bit of armor and 886s. Coils are relatively inexpensive so if its going to be a long time before you put an aftermarket bumper/winch on the front I would just do 885s for now.

Agreed, prior to my 886s I had 884s paired with billys running 265s and the ride was great.

We used a bench vise to press in my OEM bushings into the rear Dakar eyes , and you needed 2 per leaf pack , sounds like the poly ones from OME / ARB are intended to only replace the need for OEM bushings ( or another aftermarket ) bushing on the rears

That's kind of what I figured. I would also assume the same goes for the dakars in the rear.

    Thanks for the input.
