Stuff and things that make it better.
Yes, my first set up was 881's, and they were great until I installed some skids, so I added the trims to both sides to lift it back up a bit. Took them both out when I switched to 882's, but now with the winch and soon to be 2nd battery and underhood welder I might be putting them back in.

Question.... Just bought a '12 long bed that already has 885's with top plate spacer (1/4"?) and aal in the rear. Truck has 285/75/16 fierce attitude. Aftermarket uca's, just not sure which model. Tires rub pretty bad when turning, and not even at full lock. I thought if you added the top plate spacer that you could run 285's? Any help? I'll go to 265's if I need to.

wheel spacers wont have any effect on ride, cant see how they will. Suspension spacers on the other hand ride like shit (based on everyones experience that I read off of here).

Doesn't appear to be. The flaps are off but there doesn't appear to be any trimming, no. It's rubbing on the inner fender flare.

Sounds like a case of cabmountchopidis. Turn your wheels and see where the point of contact is. That'll tell where to trim.

Ok, so I have a crappy 3" Ready Lift and want to get rid of this.

    I have:

    2012 DCLB 4x4
    Mickey Thompson 285/70/17 Baja P3's
LR UCA's and All Pro end links.
Canadian TRD 4 leaf rear springs, with Air Lift bags in the rear and 1" blocks. I need these bags for towing.

I intend to put on the following:

    Front:
    - Avid Light Bar (32 lbs)

    Sides:
    - Avid bolt on sliders (40 lbs each side = 80 lbs)

    Bed:
    - BackRack (25 lbs)

    Rear:
    - Avid Rear Bumper Guard (32 lbs)

Total proposed weight on truck: 169 lbs

In the future I will add the following on the front:
    - US Off Road winch bumper (60 lbs)
    - winch (lbs unknown for now)

    I want:

    - to maintain a true 3" lift
    - accommodate the heavier weight on the front
    - accommodate the future heavier weight on the front
    - get a smoother ride on the front
    - be able to take some air out of the rear bags to get a smoother ride there

What spring/shock combo will give me all that I'm looking for?

I think it may be a tuff choice between the 886 and the 885 if you want 3 inches of lift, with a hidden winch. I ran no weight on the front end with 886 springs and the ride wasn't bad at all.

This is with the dakars and 886 no weight on the front.

Have the bumper on now and the ride hasn't changed much.

For the rear I have the dakars and they are sweet. You should be able to run them with a lot less air.

I up tire size between the pictures with different rims, so just keep that in mind.

When did these come around, are they new? When I was doing my search last year these never came up, and just the last couple months these are becoming another option that people are suggesting. I thought it was just the general 884, 885, or 886 for the second gen tacomas.

I know it was a couple posts back but are the 887's a little taller than the 885's but slightly less capacity than the 886's?

I have a set of 886 springs. Would they help? Shouldn't be too stiff with the sliders, right?

    BAMF sliders.
