7mm difference, probably not since you're rubbing and not even flexing to get it to rub. Go get the shears out.

Got a full OME kit installed...885x, Dakar pack, 90021 front, 60091 rear, and LR UCAs. This kit replaced stock shocks and springs (rear was TSB pack).

Due to time and garage space (woodworking shop) constraints, I decided to purchase and have the kit installed at Slee Off Road in Golden, Colorado. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The ride is significantly improved (the only drawback so far is the harsh top-out on the back side of speedbumps) and the handling is way better. Slee mentioned that they prefer to spec the caster and camber outside of Toyota specs and explained why for driveability. The truck tracks SO much better in corners now and while the steering is noticeably stiffer with the camber setting, it feels tighter in a good way and it is no longer lose/sketchy when I hit a bump at highway speeds.

The only problem I had is the front diff needle bearing growl after install, so I took it back in to Slee today and had them replace with the bushing. I wasn't upset at all about that as that's a known problem with the truck and was obviously a hidden issue prior to install. The front driver axle probably moved a good 1/8" up and down when I wiggled it.

I had pretty significant driveshaft vibes before the install, and it actually seems to be less prominent after the install. There is still a very slight shudder about half the time on takeoff, but I no longer have the terrible axle wrap lurch that I did before.

Sorry for the long writeup, but I also thought I'd post some pics below since I had a hard time finding pics of this kit on stock wheels/stock-sized tires (just installed the M/S2's this summer due to a long commute). I'll probably bump tire size when it's time to replace these. As it sits now, I don't think it looks too bad, but the tires definitely look a little puny.

    Specs:
    Stock front= 20.75”
    Stock (TSB) rear =21.75”

OME 885x with no spacers or trim packers, Dakars

    Front =23.25” (23.125" driver)

You really need to turn your wheels and see where is rubbing. It might just be rubbing on the edge of the fender making it sound worse than it is. Just look for areas with wear or rubbing that shouldn't have any. It's kind of trial and error. Maybe even take some pics of your wheels turned and post them so we can see if your unsure. Everyone helped me when I posted pics.

So far the only place it is rubbing is the inner fender liner. It is around 1-2" from the cab mount. This is on a level surface nose slightly down hill. I got a few pictures.

^^^ Looks like you're just in need of some fender trimming. 1-2 inches of clearance everywhere else is within acceptable range of not having to make any other adjustments. Before I trimmed my fender a little it made a lot of noise in a turn. More bark than bite though.

Hate to :deadhorse: but searched and couldn't really find any help. Will I be able to get away with using the oem uca's with 887 coils and 9000 nitroshocks if I have a Pelfreybilt bumper with Warn 9500 winch and about 60lbs extra from lights and battery? Eventually will get the UCA's but the SO will kill me if I spend anymore money for the time being. Also anyone know about how high that will put the front? I also have Dakars for the rear and Icon 2.0

Maybe. But if you're betting on it working out I bet Murphy says it won't. Save up a little more before pulling the trigger on install.

I think he said he's going to be running a front winch bumper.

I just swapped my OME 887's with nitrocharger sport shocks out this weekend and replaced them with some Icon 2.5 shocks and 14" 700lb rated springs.

I did this because I run an All-Pro Apex steel bumper that clocks in at 140lbs WITHOUT a winch in it, plus another 5-10lbs of Line-X, and a 50lb matching skid plate. All of that was really crushing my OME front coilovers, causing a lot of problems with body roll, etc...

The 887 springs are the same rate as 885 springs, they're just longer. This gives you a really nice lift but they are definitely not intended to run right if you put a bunch of armor on your truck. Simply put, they are not rated for it, even if you're planning on staying on the street.

Source: I made a mistake and learned from it.

Edit: Since this is an OME thread and my own solution was non-OME... I would suggest getting 886 coils instead of 887 coils if you're planning on running the extra weight of a winch and plate bumper. The 886 coils are as long as the 887 coils, but rated for use with the ARB Front Bumper with a Winch inside of it (150'ish lbs). See page 131 of this pdf.

What's the typical lift with 886's without any weight? And is the ride bearable? I'm going to put on weight eventually. But for now only have sliders on the way. Considering doing 887's to help correct my height issue (as Oz recommended earlier). But if it's bearable then I'll just get 886's and run it as I start to add on weight.

I rode with nothing at all (no bumper just a crush bar) and I couldn't feel too much of a difference when I added a bumper. I did have skid plates on though.

I can't answer this since I had a bumper, winch, and skids on when I swapped my 884s for 886s but I've heard its not too bad.

What do you guys think my height will be with 886's upfront with not weight other than sliders? Does it matter that I'm a DCLB 4x4? I notice a lot of the guys here are DCSB's and some prerunners. Could that be the difference in my height issue? I'll check but does anyone know off hand what the overall weight difference of a LB vs a SB 4x4 is?

Edit: found it...curb weight DCSB 4x4 4,185 lbs. DCLB 4x4 4,220 lbs. don't think that's enough to make a big difference on the front struts.

Bilsteins on front and rear, OME 885 coils, Wheeler's AAL with overload left in, LR UCA's, Stock TRD 17" wheels, 255/75-17 BFG KM tires, VIPMOTOZ headlights, Lifetime LED headlight bulbs, 6000K LED Fog bulbs, Jumper's Interior and license plate LED's, Husky Classic floor mats, OEM bed mat, Leer100R truck shell with carpeted platform, de-badged, white derped grill emblem.
So after all this research I've done, I thought I'd finalized my decisions on the following:
Billstein 5100's Front and Rear with OME 884 up front + 1/4 spacer for lean
Either Wheeler's progressive AAL OR Dakars with one leaf removed.

Then.....I ran into this guy, "Gimmick", who says he just has Billstein5100s up front on stock coils and running 265 tires. I THINK HIS RIDE LOOKS GREAT! I'd be happy with that aesthetically!

My question is: What's the catch? Can I get away with just what he has if I'm not doing any serious off roading?

Hey all. Im running 885 on ome shocks with top plate spacer. I have sliders. I am about to put on steel bumper plus winch...my question to all is can I get away with stock ucas if I run 886s with the bumper and winch.? Would love to hear from anyone running the setup...if possible. I know it will be hard to get in spec for alignment but is it possible? Thanks in advance!!
