Got my OME kit w/ dakar and LR UCA's installed today! Very very happy with it. Only thing is the traction control light and the ABS lights are on.. not sure why, they never came on with my Rough country 3".

    Any advise?

If I'm just getting a winch put into my bumper without an aftermarket bumper should I still get different coils like the 885s or 886s? I have the 884s right now with no additional front weight.

I had my 886's on for a little while before I installed a plate bumper, I loved the ride.

Does anybody have any opinions on the old versus newer versions of the Nitrocharger shock? About to put in an order for a full OME setup on Wheelers but not sure if I should go with the older more floaty shock or the newer stiffer one.

I may have jumped the gun a bit, so I'm asking for opinions. I've ordered OME 886 coils for my access cab. I've heard that I will break my teeth with the stiffness until I get some weight on the front. However I only have enough money saved for either a front bumper or new tires to replace the stock dunlops(with 33000kms). I know I should've just waited until I could afford to do it all at once but I'm a bit dumb and impatient. any suggestions? How uncomfortable is it really to drive 886s without a heavy front end? Is it tolerable if I just stay on the roads until all is complete?

When I spoke to someone at ARB with basically the same question, it was explained to me that the newer version of the nitrocharger shock is superior. I cannot advise you from experience with either though.

Some guys have liked the ride and some have said it was stiff. That makes me believe it's personal preference. I really have no personal experience. I'm running 885x's.

Its all preference. The 886's ride rougher than stock, but no worse than a HD truck. I was fine with no weight up front for a while. Put my bumper on, and it barely did anything.

There's no way I can sit and read through all 310 pages of this thread, although I did manage to get through 20 or so.. So please bear with me and my questions. I do appreciate the help and experience you all are sharing here.

I just brought home my new '15 Access Cab, Off-Road pkg, 4.0/6spd and I'm looking to get 2" out of the front and 1-1.5" in the rear. I DD the truck and my lifestyle has me travel a fair bit and takes me off-road fairly regularly. Nothing extreme or hardcore, but off pavement none-the-less. I don't see bumpers/winches/ect in the truck's future, I prefer to keep it lightweight. I value and care for my truck wanting it to last for the next 20 years so high-speed desert bashing isn't my style. I like a smooth yet controlled ride. The stock suspension is comfortable and plush, but pretty soft.. With that out of the way, giving you all some kind of idea how my truck is going to be utilized.

From the bit of research I've done, I've been tempted to just be done with it, and install a set of King's/TC arms and not worry about suspension performance. While that's an option which would tackle anything and everything I'd ever throw at the truck I just don't know that I need to spend that coin if an option exists that works well at a lower price point. I've tried to evaluate things (granted I've only had my Tacoma since Thursday) and it seems like there may be an alternative. Let me hear your thoughts/comments..

OME 884x up front on 9000's
    OME shocks out back
Progressive 1.5" AAL (is it possible to pull a leaf from this for a 1" option?)
Upper control arms - research still being conducted (probably TC at this point)

What could I expect with my 'lightweight' V6/Manual Access Cab?

Got my ome lift installed today. Very happy with the results and glad I went with the 886 coils. No pics because it was dark when we finished.

I am looking to get OME full lift kit.

does anyone know if 17x8.5 0 offset with 4.75 on 285/70/17 tires will have major rubbing issues? I plan on doing the minor necessary trimming but will i require wheel spacers??

I have a 12 AC and just put Bilstein5100s on front and rear, OME 884 coils on the front, and the Icon Progressive AAL (with factory overhaul leaf left in). We set the front Bilsteins to the .85 setting. I'm very very happy with the result.
