Question about Dakar leaf packs.. Will these work well with the rear bilstein 5100's? I currently have stock 3-leaf sets with Wheelers 3-leaf 1.5" lift heavy duty AAL's on top. Works great but looking for a more heavy duty set up and a bit of additional lift. Will the rear bilsteins "travel" accordingly with this higher lift? I know I've heard of them sometimes over traveling with higher rear leafs.. Also, I have a shell and carry various gear consistently (gas can, hi-lift, emergency gear, etc.), so weight in the back is about 250-300 lbs average consistent. Thanks in advance..

    Thanks!

Honestly......I'm really not sure. I had a Ready Lift spacer lift on before this. And it definitely sits higher in the front than that. It's gotta be close to 3", but I didn't take any actual measurements.

That's alright! I didn't take any of mine either but I'm sure my 887s got me around 3" as well

Help!! :) .I'm have been running 886 now for about 1 year and they still feel pretty stiff. When I'm off-roading I feel the front bounce a lot . Will 885 be better ? (I have an arb front bumper, warn 9.5xp-s winch, full skids and sliders) thanks !

^^ 885s have a spring rate that's almost 70lbs less so yes it'll feel more cushy but you will probably sag a bit more.

Front bilstein 5100 with OME 884 w/trim pack, 17" fuel trophy wheels wrapped with 32" toyot open country m/t, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover, Avec 30" led light bar behind lower grille, marathon seat covers in max 5 camo pattern, trimmed front and rear mud flaps, more to come.

Why not try the wheelers super bump stops firsts if you haven't already pt them on. I here it's a night and day different from oem bump stops.

Let us know what you do cause I'm thinking of going with 886's when I get my lift. I'm also going with arb bumper and a winch.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't bump stops just make it softer when you bottom out your suspension? Sounds like his problem is springs that are to stiff to his likeing?

About to pull the trigger for my lift. 885 up front with "older" nitro shocks all around and wheelers progressive add a leaf pack and trim pack to correct driver lean.
This should put me around 2-2 1/2 right?
Access cab with sliders, RTT and going to add a small bar in the front.

Maybe I'm just not understanding you correctly and the other people were, it's just that when you say bounce it is usually caused by the lack of dampening. How much bounce? Like I said bounce should be controlled by your shocks and struts. Did you give your struts a visual inspection to see if any oil was leaking? If in case you just mean stiffness or softness of the springs than yes, if the 886 is too stiff you can go and change it to the 885 or the 887 to keep more of the lift.
Sounds to me that your thinking about better dampening though, in which case that means stepping up to coilovers

I got 2" with 885 and a arb bumper and no sliders on my AC. Also with the 1/4" trim packer I still had 1/2" of taco lean in the front. So I would say about 2 1/4 front lift would be my guess.

I was throwing that out there because in the since if he might be bottoming out the stock bump stops are not as forgiving as the wheelers ones. So in saying that the wheelers bump stops would soften the compact on the LCA which in a sense would reduce the bouncing when/if making impact with the LCA. From what I've read on the super bumps compared to oem is night and day difference. When hitting the oem bump stop is like hitting ur LCA in a sense. I didn't pay no mind to this either until I got up under and looked at my oem bump stops. Feel just like hard ass rubber. I was just giving some cheap advice to try out but I can understand the other posters side to with the damping issue. If the struts are not a good damping strut that could be the issue as well. Was just giving my 2 pennies. It was just a thought. I have 884 with billy 5100 and I can tell if I hit a pot hole or bump it feels kind of rough and I know the 5100 are a good damping shock so I am taking a chance on a cheap upgrade with the wheelers dampers to see if it makes a difference. Not saying it will but if anything they are only 55 bones so why not. Just another mod under my belt lol!

Does anyone know what the max reasonable amount of spacer lift one could add above 885 Ome coils? I was planning to add 1/4" on passenger side and 3/8" on the driver to help with the taco lean. But would 3/8" and 1/2" be a mistake? Just trying to gain another 3/4".
