Can the 887's hold a 95lb bumper and a winch also without drooping a lot? Or would I need 886's? I hear ppl saying that the 886's are still to stuff even with a arb and winch is why I ask. I'm going to have the dakars in the back also.

    I am very close to ordering a full OME suspension package with dakars. I am looking at the nitro's (not sports), 884 coils and dakar leaf pack. I am a '15 access cab 4x4 TRD OR. I want to get 2" up front and some rake in the back. I do not want to go with new UCA's at this time. I have about 150 lbs constant load of crap, plus another 150 lbs in sliders. No plans to add additional armor. My current hub to fender measurements are;

    driver front 20"
    pass front 20"
    driver rear 20-3/4"
    pass rear 21-1/4"

I may be sagging a bit from stock, I never measured stock new. Any input, comments or criticisms are appreciated.

    Thx !

Sorry I'm not the best with suspension. Don't the 5100s have to be set at 1.75 to get 1.75 inches of lift? How did you get the same result at 0?

the OME springs give lift (they are longer that OEM) without preload on the shock

So right now I have the 5100s at 2.5 and stock coils. Could I get the same results with them set at 1.75 and 887s?

Thanks! I had no idea haha.

No, you would put the billy at zero, and the 887 will provide lift, I think a bit above 2.5", I don't know 887's too well.

You set the 5100's at zero and 887's would get you closer to 3" , if you want to stay near 1.75 you should consider 884's

Thanks YotaBum! Can anyone else comment who has done an OME lift and put on 285s?
I want to avoid tire rub, cutting of fenders longer brake lines etc.

    1) Would bumping up to 886s or 887s help reduce the possibilty of tire rub running 285s?

    2) How much more lift would the 886s or 887s provide over the 885s?

    3) Is the Dakar leaf pack the same amount of lift for 885, 886 and 887 kits?
I want my rake to be fairly close to factory. I don't plan to put on a steel front bumper, but may put one on in the back.

    4) What downsides are there if any to using top plate spacers? Where do I buy them?

    5) Does OME sell backspacing kits? If not any brand recomendation and amount or recommended backspace for 285s with about 3 in lift?

    Thanks!

    AC

I think if you go 285s you need to do the CMC to eliminate rubbing completely. I have a 2.5" lift in the front (not OME so I may be wrong) and I still run in reverse with the wheel locked either direction. I'm doing the chop soon.

Ok, so I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a OME 2 inch lift kit. Before I do I have some questions just like everyone else.

    Vehicle - 2001Tacoma Ext Cab 4x4 TRD Off-Road w/ stock suspension. 265/75/16 KO2's

Questions - Will I run into CV axle problems without a Diff Drop?

    - What is preferred nitro or sport shocks? And Why?

    - Should I go ahead and press in OEM bushings into the Dakar leaf packs to prevent squeaks?

    - Is the trim packer necessary? And why?

    - Wheelers Off-road offers a 10mm enhancer kit, is that to prevent rake?

    - I am getting ready to do some towing soon. Does the Dakar pack sag less than the OEM leaf the pack? I might buy a AAL to be safe while I install this new OME kit.

I appreciate the advice and I know that's laundry list of questions. I am just trying to get this right the first time. Any other suggestions of things I missed is more than welcomed.

    Thank you in advance everyone!

I don't have extended brake lines and I'm solid.

    Yep

The rear shocks can only extend so far and are the limiting factor for down travel. ARB speced them out to prevent from needing longer lines and would essentially assume the liability should someone snap them and get hurt.

Pretty sure they did their homework on this to prevent from getting sued.

    No worries

ARB/OME specs the 885 for up to 110lbs additional front weight IIRC , so with 887's I don't think it would be any different given that they are the same spring rate

Where is this listed at? I'm looking at that manual you sent a link to, and I see that the 885 shows "up to 51kg" (167lbs). I'm with the rest of the crew trying to figure out whether I need 885 or 887. I'd like to stay away from 886 spring rate if possible. If the weight I saw is truly 51kg, then I'm good with a bumper and winch.
