Thanks thats helpful for a visual. So it can be installed in conjunction with top plate spacers.

Does it have to be the OME trim packer part or would a shop putting in my lift have a comparable part that would work?

I don't understand why OME doesn't tell you that you need this part for Tacomas to avoid the lean. When planning my lift I talked to ARB directly, toytec and wheelers and no one mentioned this.

Sucks because it looks like I will have to do it at a later date unless shop has the part in stock by chance.

got a few questions. i've tried searching, but couldn't really find the answers i was looking for as most of the trucks with this kit are double cabs/4 door. i'm gonna purchase the OME kit off of toytec later today and just wanted to be 100% before finalizing my order. any help is appreciated .

    (2012, regular cab, 4x4, manual)

    1. will the 885's be too stiff or should i just go with the 884's? (i will not be adding any additional front weight)

    2. do i need extended break lines?

    3. do i need/ should i get the top plate spacers?

I doubt you're getting anywhere close to a 3" lift with just the 884s

So this is a pic of the rear shock mount on my 2015 SR5 4x4. Can Yall tell from this pic if the OME rear shocks will fit. Is this good enough to tell by?

    Thanks

I don't think you will really know till you put it on. Worst case you trim a little off shock mount.

AFAIK it's a matter of about 1/8" which would be fairly hard to notice from a picture.

Took a ride to the mountains this past weekend. 887s up front with dakars in the rear, sits just about level.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I always recommend a set of octaco's extended brake lines. They're braided, you can pick your color, he does a great job for a good price. Pedal feel is much better as well.

When you finally get that front bumper if you're not happy with where the front sits you can easily trade the 885's for 886's on TW, there's always some looking to swap. The other quick fix would be to add a small spacer on top of the strut to regain lift. That's how I went when I added all of my armor.

So i installed Dakars, already had 884's up front. I know there are vibe threads but wanted to ask the all knowing if yall had vibes post dakars and what the resolution was? I spun the carrier 180 and it lessened the vibes at takeoff havent hit hwy speeds yet and that is where its inconsistent, what i have experienced was major vibes at 60-70 with 3 chubby adults and minor vibes with 1 adult and 2 kids??? Weird huh??

Afternoon everyone. So I've been starting to research a lift for my truck. Originally I looked at the eibach 1.6 and 5100s. However after all the great info in this thread I've decided to look at OME to complete my look. Honestly I'm only looking for 2", so I was thinking the 884s. However my question to all of you- I have a homesteader fisher plow that I use in the winter. It's light. Maybe 250lbs. It's not on all the time but how much do you think those shocks will sag when the plow is mounted. I'm primarily staying around 2" for the stock UCAs

Thanks for any help. My truck is a 2010 dcsb
