Just a heads up cause I see many open questions, asking for ideas on the height of a lift with no more info and your signature has no details it's gonna be a hard recommendation.

Things like double cab, regular cab, 4x4 or PreRunner and V6 or 4 banger will make a difference in your selection as well as any additions like armor and a winch.

I could have benefitted from UCAs at 1.75" 5100s, to be honest. I'm at 2.5" now and not much noticeable difference in driving characteristics.

Looks sweet! Not too rough with the 886 and no weight up front?

    Yes.
It's terrible... but I have a bunch of weight coming that'll go on the front of the truck.

Are you comparing the Dakars to a Progressive 3 leaf AAL like Icon and Wheelers?

OEM 3 leaf and 3 leaf progressive AALs, compared to Dakars as far as ride quality and handling, is night and day.

Speaking of Dakars, have you developed any squeaks yet?

Wow I was told the progressive would add more comfort, now I might consider the Dakars if the ride is that much better. I don't need the full 2" of lift but I like the idea of a smoother on road ride!

Most definitely, look at the OME coil chart to see the different lengths.

You can pull the leaf that's 3rd from the top to soften the ride and lower the lift

No squeaks at all with my Dakars.

I'm running the full leaf pack with both overload springs, 225 lb constant load and the ride is head and shoulders better than the 3 leaf/3 leaf setup. Head. And. Shoulders. Without a similar load, I can't say how your truck will ride. I'm also running a P metric 265/75 all terrain (Cooper ATP) and not a stiffer LT rated tire. YMMV. Dakars are stiffer, but make freeway driving an absolute dream. Rough roads around town are bumpy as they were before, but the bumps are less harsh. I'm also running OME Nitrocharger Sport shocks at all 4 corners.

Stock UCAs and I believe my lift has settled quite a bit. Somewhere around .5 inches since install on my 884X coils.

Hey bud it's either UCAs or LCAs (upper or lower control arms). I know you meant the upper but some guys change both.

FWIW any locals are welcome to ride along and get some seat time if they're on the fence about ride quality.

I'll be running the Dakars with an extended length shock or rear resi in the rear. I have a shell so I'll have at least 200 lbs in the back. I have the same size tires, but a C rated Cooper, but I love the way they ride, much more stable and planted than the stock ones. I'm really interested in how the ride will be. Thanks for sharing your input.

For long haul vs short crawl
To chime in I have a shell with built in custom made deck, tools and 80 pound dog with camping gear. The Dakars have been the best part of the suspension upgrade, I bottom out far less and it handles so much better over stock. I sit with slight rake with my 886 up front with winch and steel bumper. Sure its a bit rough over mild bumps and potholes but the truck handles like a champ. I have since changed out the tires but here is how she sits now.
