    The smaller the patch, the higher the friction, and 255 x 85 have about the smallest but use a 7in or stock wheel, so 265 is only 3/8 wider. As for snow tires, being snow rated (having the snowflake on the sidewall) would be the way to go. Another good indicator is if it is studdable. I've had good experiences with the Cooper brand that seem to stay more flexible at lower temperatures which is a plus.

    Honestly I couldn't tell you for sure. When I arrived I told them that Headstrong OffRoad suggested that having not greased the bushings could cause the squeak and that there were instructions in the kit on how to do it. The local company said it depends in the type of bushing.

    I was there over two hours. Most of which they spent drilling out a screw that broke off in the UCA where the abs brake wire bracket attached.

    They did install some trimmed wheel well flashing though since they removed the factory ones after putting the UCAs on.

    Didn't get a clear answer on the bushings so I'm concerned as to whether they got greased or not.

    If you want a real dedicated snow tire Blizzak is the way to go.

    Really? 884s? That's 1 1/4" more than my 883's. That's definitely more than I expected.

    884's arent consistent, however i talked to christ at slee and he advised me 884's for 2-2.5 with no weight on front and 885's w/arb and winch. Just sayn dont expect the same measurements that i have.

    I also measured 22.5" immediately after the install of my 884s (DCSB 4x4 V6). They settled about .25" after a couple of months though, giving me just under 2" of lift.

    I've had my Dakars on the truck for about a month or so now, and just noticed this:

    This is from the driver side leaf pack. Some of the rubber is missing/frayed off one of the retention brackets. All the other ones look fine, it's just this one. Is this something I should be worried about or need to address ASAP?

    I have a DCLB 4x4 that needs new springs, I'm done with the factory 4-pack. I have a bed cap on all seasons and typically carry a 200# bed load and/or tow a boat on weekends. Fire roads are as offroad as it gets here. I don't plan on running anything larger than 265/75-16 which fit fine as it sits right now. I'd prefer a 2" lift if I can still get some rake and the added load capacity.

    What I'm thinking is 884 with Dakars with overload removed to reduce height. I don't see many threads with DCLB with 884s. Any opinions or should I just get 885s and leave the leaf in?

    I'd go 885 since that is the standard for double cabs. I think 884 is for access cab?

    @Miyagi it's pretty common for those plastic clips to break off, I haven't heard of any issues caused by them breaking. If you want to replace them for aesthetic reasons, the part number for the taller ones is 2516474 and the shorter one is 2512074.
