But you can't get any lift with those shocks right?

    2 questions:

    1. Does everyone who installed their OME lift have the shock rebound clank?
    2. Anybody experience the dreaded driver's side CV shaft carrier-bearing growl/vibration after the OME lift?

I ordered 5100 yesterday to replace the OME that I can no longer stand. I got 885 coils, I like.

Dakar out back with OME shock, but that rear shock will be replaced, for a longer ones sometime next year...

    1. no shock rebound clank on my 05 or 06

    2. needle bearing growl on my 05 before the lift installed. installed the ECGS bushing in my 06 during the OME install.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I'm going to need to swap out my 886s to hold my bumper. But I'm holding off until after I go wheeling on New Years.

What was the amount your front end lifted to after they had settled?

Yes. Quite expensive. But sooooo worth it. I dont like to keep track of monies spent on truck too much because when i do sometimes i feel like i might just throw up.

its a leveling kit, so it brings you up about 1.75 in the front

I no EMU at all, just weighing in on the great OME vs Bilstein debate

    1. I don't seem to have the same "clank" that others are describing, I have more of a rattling but I think its the body hitting the bumper.
    2. Installed the ECGS bushing a few weeks after the lift. I was at 50K on 07 DC if thats helpful.

Got to finally run the truck through some decent off roading in Moab and Colorado on a road trip. I love my OME 886 and dakars, carried a lot of weight for 4,000 miles comfortably and killed the few trails I got to do in Moab. Only complaints are the squeaky dakars (doesn't bother me to much) and the 886 coils are noticeably stiff when hitting the trails but the road manners make up for it really.

First stop on our road trip was the Alvord Desert!

So even with your plate front bumper you had a pretty rough ride with the 886s?

I am far from an expert, I've been off-roading since I was 16 but this my first "project" truck where I am investing in aftermarket parts. Keeping that in mind I think the 886 coil with the 200 pounds I have up front is an awesome set up and overall it handles really well while still being comfortable to drive long distances. Off road the front end responds very quickly, feels sharp and is massive improvement over stock. I just think a softer coil would be more fun (go faster, smoother transitions over obstacles) but I am building a expo rig more then a rock crawler. I would love to drive a Tacoma with Fox or King as a comparison but I am very happy with my OME set up.
