Holy sh!t! What a bad morning. I took the day off work to install OME lift on my '13 DCLB. The 1st side went easily; I had the new OME strut installed in about an hour. Moved to the drivers side and the bottom shock bolt is rusted solid onto the metal sleeve in the shock. I banged on it with a small sledge 'till I couldn't hit it anymore and only succeeded in bending the other side of the tab back as the sleeve wouldn't budge. I put a wrench on the bolt side and actually spun the sleeve lose from the rubber, so now the whole bolt and metal sleeve spins freely.

Since I need to drive tomorrow, I accepted defeat and removed the passenger side OME strut and set her all back to stock! Damn... (facepalm)

Now Im going to soak it in PB blaster for a few days, and apply some torch heat to the bolt, but if that doesnt work Im not sure what else to do... maybe an air hammer.

PB blaster is weak, use some ATF/Acetone in a 50-50 mix

Took it offroad today, she did great. No clanks. It's just on speed bumps, can defenitly live with that. Flexed it a bit. No issues with the travel

What's the recommendation on the grease / lube for the leaf packs prior to installation to avoid any squeaks? Thanks in advance.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
1st part I agree with as I have had both

2nd part = :pout: that I don't have and super jelly

For all the guys that have the speed bump noise. Do you have the sports or the standard ones? I have the standard ones and I do not have any ill noises that you all speak of
