Yeah I saw all of your posts back and forth in that thread, thanks! I may just see how it is first, if completely unbearable than I'll buy 887 springs separately and find a shop to swap them.

Yeah I might just see how bad it is, at this point its going to be way better than stock overall. Appreciate the info!

Whats the big difference between 885 887? Outside of 10mm ish are there any fitment differences or clearance issues?

Nope. Just one being taller. The 887 was made for the 4 Runner. But fits a Tacom.

So guys, got a few questions. Getting ready to pull the trigger on this 2" ome lift kit on the group buy @ramonortiz55 is hosting!

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/round-two-ome-suspensions-group-buy.425838/

Going to get the Stock Kit
    OMETAC05LKSB – Tacoma 2005-15 Stock Kit - $1226.45

All said and done about 880 shipped to my door that's with the same 18% off and the $125 mail in rebate from arb.

The kit is going on my 2016 Access Cab 5 speed 4 cylinder! Can't wait to get rid of the crappy oem leafs! At 5k they started to squeak.

Wondering with the 885 coils on the sport nitrocrarger shocks will that give me 2" of lift or more since my access cab is lighter and will I need some Light Racing upper control arms? Or extended brake lines?!

Also going to be adding a Firestone Ride rite air bag kit Part#2407 to this setup also!

    Thanks guys!

You'll probably see 2.5" of not more up front.

So I've got a weird one. I have OME sport shocks, 885's, and Light Racing UCA's. Been installed for about 9 months. Rotated the tires today and while the front was off the ground noticed one side had a little more droop than the other. Measured and there is a 3/4" difference. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I'm stumped.

I have been reading about the Dakars squeaking and that there is a fix for it. Could someone help me out with some info on this? I am getting on Ramon's GB and would like.

    Where do I find that?

2.5 of not more? So you think I'll need upper control arms?

    IF not more. Typo.

At 2.5" I think you are fine. At 3" they are recommended to get alignment right. Every truck is different though as to how much lift is achieved. But 2-2.5" on a double cab is normal for 885.

Sounds good look like I'll get the kit throw it on an see how much I get and get a alignment and see how it is and if it needs improvement I'll get a set of Light Racing Upper control arms. Thanks man!

885 OME lift with dakars. CRL fog lights
I'm buying the ome kit from the group buy.
My questions is what coils should I get to make my AC front level with the bed. I've heard that the backend will be higher with the dakars.

I think you would be fine with 885s but maybe 887s?

My mind is blown by this 887 option. I have a V6 AC with no additional weight, but I could see some eventually down the line (probably nothing too heavy because it's my DD). The 884 or 885 answer was a no brainier, but 885 or 887? :pccoffee: I have skepticism as to why this isn't an off the shelf option from OME for Tacomas. Maybe a required UCA thing and therefore not a true complete kit?

My understanding was that 887 was originally intended for 4runner but fit Tacoma as well. 887 is longer than 885 but same spring rate as 885. Most people will choose this over 886 if no weight up front.
