    Yeah I'm just trying to get it as close to 2.75 to 3" of lift and as side-to-side level as I can. After that I won't stress it anymore.

    I don't think it works like that. Sounds like you'd need a spring compressor unless you just force-drooped (?) the shock into two seperate pieces, in which case, I guess the world is your oyster...

    Well I've got to say I'm a little disappointed with the 887's. I was expecting 2.75-3" of lift but got nowhere near that initially. I just installed some top plate spacers in to add a little more height and correct for lean and I'm still not quite in that range. Coils said "2887" on them, so unless they were mis-labeled at ARB I don't know what the deal is. I measured multiple times as well. I wound up adding a 3/8" top plate to driver side and a 1/4" to passenger. Also, under 20 mph the driveline vibrates like I'm driving on a rumble strip. Love it. I did install the carrier bearing drop as well. On the plus side, I learned to convert 8ths to decimal places pretty well.

    started with:
    front driver: 20
    front passenger: 20.5
    rear driver: 21.125
    rear passenger 21.75

    ended with (after spacers)
    fd: 22.625
    fp: 22.875
    rd: 24.625
    rp: 24.875

    grand total lift
    fd: 2.625
    fp: 2.375
    rd: 3.5
    rp: 3.125

    Yeah...maybe they were mislabeled or something? Truck looks good though. Overall I'm happy with it. I bought some bags of sand to throw in the back to soften the dakars up a little.

    Well I have begun putting the 887s on my 4banger. I have full skids and sliders, so I was hoping to top out a 3 inches with that weight. I did the drivers side, let it down and it looks like I have 5.25 inches of lift!!!!! Started at 19.25 and I have 24.5 now. Now the passenger side is jacked up, but I cant imagine that will change things. Seem odd to anyone else? Ideas? I know I did something wrong....

    Mine measured high until I drove it. It should settle down on the initial drive. Was 19.25" with armor? I think stock should be around 20", but not sure how it varies from body style. You might have been sagging a little before the lift as well is what I'm trying to get at.

    :eek: aren't the 887s a really high spring rate? I feel like a 2.7 doesn't need all that spring rate!

    My kit came with 885s I think...

    Sticker said 2885 I assume you ignore the 2 and the last 3 numbers are the spring type...

    A lot of ppl with 2.7 and 885s loose a half inch with skids and sliders. That's why I went with 887s. They are the same spring rate. Just 5mms longer
