Haha what ever floats ya boat. I live on a washboard dirt road and it sucks to have a stiff ass suspension. I wish I had the money to drop on some sweet coilovers but money problems.

Yep. I'm running Billie 5100s with ome 886s and Dakars with Billie b110s and it rides a lil stiff but not bad stiff. Also note that i have 200lbs plus up front. Nope I don't have any vibes either so never installed one.

My only real tip is read through the OME install DIY one here before you start, it really helps. Having a good ball joint separator is also really helpful. I sprayed any bolts that looked like they would be tough (leaf spring bolts, U bolts, lower shock bolt) with PB blaster a day before I started. Everything broke loose with ease. FYI, if you are like me and get 2 sets of bushings with your kit, it's an extra set. My dumbass assumed that since the springs had a bushing in them already that the other one must go in the shackle/bracket ordeal at the rear of the spring. Without even looking at the size, I commenced to destroy the stock on taking it out (instead of melting it, I used a drill press and just made tons of holes until it popped out). Well surprise! That's not where the new bushings go. I ended up spending 30 minutes and a lot of swearing "engineering" on of the new bushings to fit in there (by that I mean cutting it down with a hack saw until I could press it in the shackle). Don't do that and you should be able to finish in like 3-5 hours depending on if you've done suspension before.

Heyoo, I'm going to be buying ome pretty soon and want to make sure my facts are correct before i do.

Trucks a 12 double cab long bed. I have cooper discoverer st maxx tires which made my truck rough af. Im looking to gain close to 2" of lift.

Everywhere i read says the 2885 coils will give almost 3" with a double cab and the 2884s would be closer to 2", this right?. I am going with their struts and shocks and the trim packer.
For the rear I was just thinking of a 1" block to level it out.

Is any of this wrong? Also Will this make my truck ride smoother then it is? or stiffer?

That sounds right to me. The ride will be rough with the block in the back I think, I would go with an AAL.

I just put 885's on my '13 and after settling its 1-3/4" lift. Kinda disappointed. Think I'm going to go to .85 on my 5100's.

Why do you need more lift? Is it worth changing the ride for?

To clear the 33's I just ordered. I will try 1/2" top plate spacer first.

You don't need any more lift than that to clear 33s. CMC, plastic cut, etc. sure but not more lift.

OME 3" Lift, 32" Tires, Lots of Mods!
    Hi Guys,

Just got my tracking number from the group buy for my OME Suspension Kit with 887's and Dakar leafs the other day. So hopefully they will be here in a few days. I also got a set of Light Racing Upper control arms and a set of 4 stainless steel 2" extended brake hoses! And 2 new bolts for the upper control arms so I can just cut the heads off and pull them out!

I got a few questions for you guys. I do all the work on my own vehicles and I'll be installing the kit.

    1. Just wondering when I install the Light racing upper control arms should I just center the ball-joint in the center of the oval slot where you adjust it back and forth for the camber?

    2. I'll be scheduling a alignment for the truck shortly after I get the lift installed but should I ride on the kit for a few days before the alignment if there is going to be any settling?

    Thanks!

Youll need a new alignment instantly after installing the lift or your camber caster and toe will be all off...

I can't recall how I set my but I just followed the instructions that came with them, they give you a baseline for where they should be set based on the amount of lift. I also took those instructions to the alignment shop incase they had questions. I had the truck aligned the next day after the lift.
